Only taking application until SUNDAY. Currently work for Alaska and it's a Great Company to work for, and amazing co-workers!

Those who have a referral get moved to the top of the interview list. Referral?

Sharpen your resume. Hit me up.

I'm excited, I found the information on another forum with a different airline. So I immediatley applied for them, thankfully I saw it... Since they are only accepting applications until Sunday, I might of missed the opportunity.

Unfortunately, I do not know anyone who works for Alaska that can put in a referral in for me. But, atleast I got my application in.

Are you able to provide input regarding the interview?

Thank you!

That's awesome, right when I saw it posted on their career site I immediately applied, and told my friends who are interested. I'm glad you have a referral, your application is now on the top of the list.

I don't know where the interview is going to be held, I'm assuming in Seattle or Anchorage?..Not sure though. Do you happen to know if they accommodate for the flights back and forth for those who don't live in the interview area?

Wish you the best of luck! Hopefully we get a call back!

I interviewed with them 3 years ago----people who didn't live in the area, we all flew in on our own dime. I bet that that has not changed.

Hopefully they do, I attended an interview with another airline last month and they provided roundtrip travel. However, I believe only a few do this.

Do you happen to know the process after placing an application? Do they call to proceed with a Phone Interview, and from there see if you're invited for a Group Interview/Face2Face Interview?

I wish you the best of luck, maybe we'll see each other in the near future during interview sessions.

Three years ago, I flew out there (again, on my own dime)and it was an "open house" a.k.a. a "cattle call". However, Horizon Airlines (which I recently applied with) and is owned by Alaska Air no longer has an "open house" or "cattle call" it is now via invite---so, maybe Alaska has changed this. Hopefully, we will find out soon! :)

I applied on Monday (Had referral from Alaska employee) and I received a call back on Tuesday. It was a quick turn around process, the group interview will be held next Monday. If anyone has any tips for the interview I will greatly appreciate it. I have been searching this site but could not find a good forum.

Good Luck everyone.

Wow, you got a call back the very next day... awesome! When they called you, was it a phone interview? They must be looking at candidates who currently reside in Washington and/or Alaska before branching out to out-of-state.

Are you sure you applied Monday? Because the online application closed Sunday. Did you apply some other way, since you had a referral?

Unfortunately I have not heard anything either. I would love to work for Alaska Airlines. They are a wonderful company with a great reputation for safety and providing outstanding customer service. I applied Saturday, March 12th. I suspect they may only be looking at local candidates due the the upcoming training date in April. However, that is only an opinion. Best of luck to everyone that applied.

There was still one posting for FA's on Monday morning. It was taken down by the afternoon. Over the weekend there were 2 postings. One stated that it was strictly for the Anchorage base. The other stated Seattle and Anchorage.

Not yet. I heard that it takes some time but, it will be worth the wait. Maybe they are giving internal apps higher priority. Thats what some airlines do I heard.

Hi Everyone,
I live in Kirkland, Washington wich is 20 minutes from downtown Seattle. I have been working for another airlines for 4 years based in msp. I also applied, on the 13th. Haven't heard anything yet, just the same email. I have a referral, just didn't get it in. I have been waiting years for them to start hiring. I'm so excited about this opportunity. Does anyone know how many they plan on hiring? And is it true that they dont pay you for training?

I haven't heard if they are hiring a certain amount. I do know that training is not paid and I have heard that unpaid training is becoming industry standard with the economy the way it is. I too had a referral. Good luck to you and let us know if you hear anything.

5 1/2 week Training I went through in 2000 with another airline was also unpaid however meals & meal vouchers were provided & a bonus after successful completion of training.
I think it's pretty normal for it to be unpaid.

The company I work for now is hiring. They pay you during training. I know most dont any more. That must make it hard for those who dont live near training.

No, I live in Bellevue (weird that it says that) and they did not do the finger printing and drug and nicotine test the day of the interview. Did you? Our interview lasted all day so they told us they would call us to set up an appointment. Mine is tomorrow. How was the experience, I am a bit nervous just because I don't know what to expect. How long did it take?
