I have been dealing with TEK Systems for about a month now and the people I have been dealing are very nice, professional and seem to know what they are doing. They recently set up an office in my area and so far the experience I have had with them has been nothing but positive. Recruiting is done by humans for humans, and humans make mistakes- and are often held liable for other human's mistakes. One bad experience does not make the entire company bad. |

Agree with Jessica. I've been working through the Baltimore office for just over a year and very happy with them. I was contacted within a few days for the job I applied for online, thoroughly coached for the extensive interviews I had to undergo to be placed at the company. Unfortunately, the company changed their minds on what they wanted for the position, so I did not get a permanent offer, but that is not Tek's fault. They also worked very hard to get me another placement and got my much more money than I would've expected for my current job. Certainly the best of any tech recruiter or regular temp agency I've ever worked for. They've made me feel like a human and not another warm body to fill a job order. |

Fellow jobless ones, stop crying about the recruiters like TEK. They are horrible, yeah, we all know it. Lets move on and try to focus on companies are hiring or helps in this regard. Crying about how bad companies are does not solve anything other then waste time if you consider time-avalability a problem. |

And don't give them references unless they ask and there's an interview. Alot of them just want to use you to contact your references to expand their business. They aren't the slightess bight concerned about you or your job search. Good consulting firms don't ask for references because it's the clients responsibility to screen you. Let the jobseeker beware.... |

Government jobs are supposed to be prevailing wage. This would be considerably more than $16-$!( per hour for an experienced electrician. I asked Aerotek about this and he was clueless. It seems to me if they were legit they would know one way or the other. BEWARE! |

I was contacted by Allegis group for an interview for a management position. This is the same company that owns Tek Systems. The position was an internal position with the company. I had a great phone interview, and great contact with the HR rep. However, after going in for the "face to face" interview, I was never contacted again. I sent several emails to the HR contact, who just ignored my emails. I found out later from a friend who knows someone at the company that they hired an internal candidate. I found this very un-professional, since I used a vacation day to take time to meet with them, and they didnt' even have the courtesy to let me know the job was given to someone else. I am a technical manager, and when I have internal candidates, I dont even bring people in from outside to interview if the internal candidates have the skills I need. I don't see a need in wasting someone's time. Unfortunately for me I guess Allegis group doesnt operate this way. Very unprofessional. |

Had the same experience with Aerotek. Interviewed on three separate occassions for three separate positions and heard nothing. Emails and phone calls afterwards ignored. Have since applied for two other openings and have had no reply to inquiries whatsoever. Look for another agency, don't waste your time on this one! |

Not sure if eveyone knows that most ads posted for jobs on the internet whether through Tek Systems of direct Employers are done for compliance. Equal Employment Opportunity. They have to make the jobs (documented) that they reached out to the masses even though they may already have the position covered. Tek or anyone else can be a waste of time. I was lucky in the sense that I sent out about 200 resumes over a 6 month period and finally got a good job through Tek Systems. I am getting quite a bit of money taken off of my pay for TEk and Zero benefits. But, hell, it beats the couch. |

I am a Recruiter for Aerotek. Please first let me apologize for any experience that you encountered that was less than pleasant. Aerotek as well Tek work extremely hard to find the right candidates for the companies that we represent. Because we have so many candidates calling and emailing, at times it may be hard to return everyone's phone call or email. I assure you that this is not intentional. We are human and yes while we understand your urgency to find employment, at times we may get overwhelmed by the number of applicants, which makes it hard to respond to everyone. If you are qualified for the positions we are currently recruting on, you will receive a call or email. Again I apologize for your experience and wish you luck in securing employment. |

avoid or be sure to check your paperwork with this company. After working for three years on a site they have always messed up the contract paperwork allowing you to exceed your contract time and continue without your signature. they also do not give you legal notice time and have tried to make cuts to peoples wages up to 20 percent and informing people by phone and not in writing. Shady - dodgy and not a good company to do business with. |
