I just had an interview with a junior Research Scientist (the position I'm applying for) at Amazon. It was quite pleasant despite my lack of interview experience and occasional awkward moments of silence. The questions are mostly technical. You can find my blog entry here: blog2grow.wordpress.com/2012/04/10/my-amazon-job-interview-experience/ |

Hello guys, I have been invited to Seattle for an onsite interview for the supply chain optimization analyst position. Has anyone done this yet? I had two rounds of technical interviews on the phone before this. Annie, did you get invited after your second round? |

Aiur It was very similar in nature to the first round but a little bit more complex. Handling data and supply chain concepts are what the questions were on. |

Annie in College Station, Texas said: For Excel, they may ask you how to deal with data , like how to select the data which appear twice or more. For probability, very simple question, ask you to compute a probability, don't worry about that, you should tell them how you compute that probability. They may further ask you what this probability means, which is related to some concept in Supply Chain, like stock out. You can also prepare yourself with some SQL statements, they may ask you to select some specific customers from some tables. To sum up, those questions are very basic, not hard to solve. You just need to listen carefully and understand the interview's questions. Hi Annie, thanks for ur comments.

Did they bring you to their HQ for an in-person interview just like the others? If so, what kind of questions did they asked you? Is it more technical related or more on the company info(values, about amazon..etc)? Thanks! |

learn.hackerearth.com/blog/80/good-books-for-googleamazon-interviewonsite/ Apart from CLR and Skiena's algorithms book, I would recommend the folllowing books focussed on real coding interviews questions which contains great details(real questions with real answers as expected by the google/amazon interviewer): Top 10 coding interview problems asked in Google with solutions: Algorithmic Approach By Dr Lin Quan
These books helped me greatly in my Amazon's onsite interview recently. Practicing topcoders questions can be an additional help if it suits individual interest. |
