It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at Amazon? Any advice on striking the right note? |

I would recommend researching your interviewers on Linkedin. People are always inpressed if you know something about them off the get go and can be friendly. This softens them up. I have never whiteboarded. I applied for a contract PM role. I actually found out I liked this method of expressing my idea. I had to come up with many solutions to problems and also do some impromptu PM work for a ficticious product. Think outside the box! I asked when I'd hear back (had three onsite interviews) and they said the following week, Tuesday as they had a few more interviews scheduled. They called my consulting firm later the same day and said I was hired! I really enjoyed all of the people that interviewed me. I felt I could be myself. I usually get nervous in interviews and I was the calmest ever here; very relaxed environment and super nice building in the SLU area. |
