It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at American Express? Any advice on striking the right note? |

I worked for AMEX for 5 years. The initial interview was a series of tests and then a one-on-one interview. Most other interviews I have been on with the company were panel interviews. One time I had a round robin interview. (I think that is what it is called.) If you are going for a basic customer service position, I would assume you would have a one-on-one interview. All other positions, expect a panel. AMEX employee development emphasises the S.T.A.R. method of interviewing. Basically they want Situation, Action, Outcome (result). Interviews are usually 4-5 questions. I hope somebody finds this helpful. |

I am having a telephonic interview with amex on tuesday. I am based in germany and have applied for a position as sr. manager. Now I got told that the telephonic interview is been held from new york even so the position is based in germany. Do you know if the interview system varies between countries or is amex applying an american system? |
