I LOVE AMSCOT in Brooksville, Florida said: Okay okay so I have read all the post and I am very upset. The people who come on here and want to disrespect Amscot are either very disgruntle employees who are or should be looking for another job because they don't perform well at their job OR they don't work with us to begin with. The truth about Amscot is yes it is a hard job and yes it is a great job! Basically if you come in and do a good job then guess what, you get rewarded for it! I have never worked for a company that has ever done that. It is a fun job and it is great to come to work with no drama and i look forward to see all my customers. I would say if you buy in to all the negative compliant that people have to say about Amscot then don't bother applying or staying at Amscot for that matter. It will just leave more opportunities for the good employees to move up and make a difference in the company.

No job is perfect. However after working in retail all my life, amscot is more enjoyable, challenging and rewarding. when Macy's is laying off people Amscot does not and I earn 2xs what i earned there.

I am a previous employee who did like their job. Amscot is a good company to work for. However, employees are a number to corporate not a person in any means. If you work in any district other than Lakeland, you probably are very happy. The people in the Lakeland district are very unhappy because of the DL. The Open Door Policy? Sure, you can talk to someone in corporate but then you get into trouble after the fact. You can call the anonymous hotline but if you call during business hours, the first thing they say to you is what is your name. It's suppose to be anonymous!!!! If you like your job, keep it. It sucks trying to find another job right now. If you aren't happy, then get out. As soon as the company finds out you aren't happy, they will make your life hell. I read that the company has so many sick days allowed to each employee. Then why do the employees get written up or fired when calling off? That is the one thing I never understood. Things happen that you just can't plan; for instance like a death. The one thing I didn't like about the company is that they tell you to be positive like always have a smile, however, starting from corporate down, there is a lot of negativity and they wonder why employees have bad attitudes. Just keep in mind that no job is secure no matter who you work for!

is this a joke? how old are you :"I LOVE AMSCOT" you must have never had a decent job i feel for you and hope the lord shines his light upon thee ! good employees to move up ? and make a difference? who are you kidding , fun job? it can be yes but not when you are understaffed . you def worked at some sort of fast food or crappy job before this . if you enjoy it so be it you will find out for your self just like all the others who yelled " i love amscot i wont ever leave " then were fired for no reason and cant feed their families.. make sure when you get fired post your thoughts again ok kiddo?

vickyT you worked at macy's that is a respectable company with respectable customers.they lay off yes only because of the recession but amscot fires all the time without reason or justification, your only gripe would be pay but you will see not everything in life is about money sometimes you gotta do whats right.

Wow i guess all the brain washing during that first week of training works on alot of weak minded people!
