1.) Respect the Employer-Employee relationship: I hate standing on my feet for six or seven hours nonstop, working without a meal break, or even a bathroom break on busy days. However, I want my branch to succeed and I want to satisfy as many customers as possible on those busy days. I don’t expect anything more for working hard those days…its part of the job. But not every day of the month is equal, and though some are busy, some are slow. On those slow days associates try to keep busy, but invariably some are sent home early. As associates we expect to work 37 hours each week and live our lives within those boundaries. But, when things are slow at the branch we face the prospect we might be sent home two or three hours early during that week. We’re trying very hard to live within our means, but it’s made more difficult when the means keep ratcheting downwards. My bills don’t care that things were slow at Amscot last week. I will give you my all on the busy days, working long, hard hours to bring in the income. On the slow days please don’t take money out of my pocket simply to put it in your pocket by sending me home early. I know you need to keep on eye on expenses, but this is not the way to earn my loyalty. |

Yes, it's a mini fridge. Not sure how much food you need to bring to work? What do you expect? A huge deep freezer stocked full of ice cream and candies? Give me a break... your the type of people who would complain about anything. |

Funny... all the people you mention that "suck" are successful. Instead of being jealous of their success, maybe you should do as I do and look up to them. I'll be happy when i'm a BL making 60-70k a year and eventually a DL making $100k a year while you and your gang of idiots are at your new jobs sitting on your asses making $10 bucks an hour... But im sure you will enjoy it as long as you have an hour lunch break. Get a life. |

Amscot is a really good place to work. That's the truth. Amscot has won the best places to work many years in a row. the company takes 5000 applications a month for employment - thats a fact. The lies you tell about amscot effects the 2400 Associates and 1000's of family members that depend on the company for a livelihood. That is both unethical and disengenious especially the fact you are also taking money from the company. Would imagine the quality of your work sucks meaning you're stealing from the company and our customers. |

Your place of employment SUCKS (AMSOCT)!!! I NEVER saw my girlfriend for three years she worked there. She would get up at 6:30 am in the morning and not get home until 11PM on at least one day per week. SHE NEVER HAD WEEKENDS OFF, NEVER! Last night, which was 12/1/11, was the very first THURSDAY we spent together after three years thanks to her new career away from this cess pool of a job. Her boss reiterated to her that breaks are not LEGALLY REQUIRED for employees in the state of FLORIDA. The sad thing is, he is right. That didn't make him any less of a prick. The employees are trapped there like zoo animals behind glass windows. The customers harass the employees numberous times. Not to mention the in office sexual inuendos that would do on day in and day out. Plus if you made any time of MAJOR mistake with your DRAWER at night time you either warned (if they like you) or FIRED (if they didn't like you.) The stress of working there made her sick to her stomach and depressed constantly. The schedules you make for your employees made no sense, you would have someone work a 16 hour shift just to sleep six hours and come right back to work again. Let us not forget VACATION TIME, she requested a vacation our four seperate dates, ALL WERE DENIED. We finally had to REQUEST, when will you let her have a vacation (PERIOD). This was the only way we could coordinate a family vacation together. Let's not forget transfers to locations that are way way away from your home. Soon as she starting liking the crew she was working with they would transfer her to a NEW location. Such BS there. What about the crazy RULES. One rule there is that you CANNOT make friends with your fellow co-workers in or out of work. If you do you will be terminated. They don't even allow DIRECT DEPOSIT because they want you to cash your paycheck there so that way you are more likely to get a cash advance from them and be stuck pay there 10% loan shark fees and be indebted to them as a slave forever. |

Sorry for my grammer ridden rant (I am so upset)...but I can't stop there. Continuing onward she was also NEVER allowed a SICK day. If you called in SICK without a doctors note, you were FIRED. In her training class, only her and another employee survived. The rest were FIRED during TRAINING. Incredible. Two out of twelve. For all the good things you read about online, they are all from corporate people trying to sugar cote the work place. I use to work for another organization like this back in the 90's and it was ran by a bunch of scientologists. They treated people like cattle, not people. AMSOCT needs to be sued in a class action lawsuit for employee abuse and mistreatment, hands down. |

If you called in SICK without a doctors note, you were FIRED. We for sure should talk. 4 people got fired last week from our district for no real reason other than a company out of control. we never had breaks, sure they send you on a break but you gulp down a bite and have to run back to help customers. the biggest portion of customers are rude and have manners worse than anything I have ever seen. The district leader has no business being a manager of any type, he takes the customers sides no matter what even after his employees are loyal and faithful...he never takes the employees sides...this company is a glorified sleezy check cashing facility that they think puting bright colors on the wall and shirts and putting everyone behind glass makes them like a bank, they cater to people who cannot get a bank account mainly, and they treat employees less than human....no breaks, no sick days, begging for vacations, no weekends off, no holidays off, they monitor your facebook and fire anyone who has contact with each other outside of work...they are money hungry and I hope they close their doors.... |

My girlfriend now works for a company that respects employees, makes a $1.00 more per hour and now has the choice to VOLUNTEER for overtime. Plus she only works one SATURDAY a month and she loves what she does. To all those working at AMSCOT, do your yourself and family a favor, QUIT! OR AMSCOT CORPORATION, wake up and smell the coffee, and treat your employees like human beings. BG in Lakeland, Florida said: HAHAHA I worked there for 3 1/2 years, and i finally quit last month. |
