I enjoy it

I really enjoy coming to work every day; i have a great team that i work with and so far everything is great. I have always felt very welcomed by the Branch and District Leaders and I am glad to see Amscot upholds their promises.

about the only promise they up hold is the fact that you cant leave at all and you have to be "FLEXIBLE" horrid place to work by any standards.

Cobra you seem like a very jealous person who wants nothing more than to be a District mgr for the company you work for. you sit and talk bad about Amscot but they are just words-untruthful ones at that. Everyone knows you get breaks, you idiot. You work 40 hours a week and get 2 days off, what is so bad about that? If it is true that you are quitting this week or whenever you said-thank God. This company will be a better place without you around.

sorry Gina is was slaving for 11 hrs yesterday busy busy.. anyways the last thing i would ever be is District Leader . not if they paid me 200k a year would i disrespect myself by allowing them to move me up further.jealous? of what? That is wonderful success, but the evidence comes from the character of the child, not in the bank account. Another person may be a master musician and get huge satisfaction out of giving joy to other people, but not be using music to make money. so therefore your beloved dl is NOT SUCCESSFUL.im glad you mentioned working your a$$ off, proving my point. the reason you work your a$$ off is because your company cares so little of you and they only see $$$$$$$$$$$$ . do not blame me for the inhumane work during the 1st and 5th blame your leaders who seem to believe less is more when it comes to employees. With this company you will feel as if you did. You will have all the wealth you need, and then some, however you will turn into a self-loathing, customer-service-hating hypocrite. You will not see your customers as people any more, you will see them as dollar signs and suckers. As you climb the ladder of promotions you will begin to see the backbone of the company. Shame. You have to encourage your associates to be motivated with 16 hour shifts and no breaks in-between. For security purposes, you can not leave the branch during your shift, therefore you do not clock out for lunch, and furthermore, you take your lunch between customers. When have you ever seen an Amscot branch empty? Do you know how many times I cried wishing I could lock the doors for just 5 minutes so me and my crew could get a bite to eat after standing on our feet for hours of non-stop assisting people. Your superiors will show you empathy but deep down can not do anything about it because their superiors are worried about goals. Finally, when you burn out and become no longer useful, you are fired or told you are not good enough. That leads me also to the annual raise incentive. It is based on performance. I wrote a fairly good review for one of my associates (a well deserved one) that would give her a nice raise. My district leader told me to change my review to a lower score so there would be more money left in the budget. If I give her a raise then I would have to cut her hours down to make up for it. So the employee only gets a "satisfactory". What morale!

So i just wanted to say you are crazy. I worked from 10am to 10pm on monday and did not sit down once. I finally got to use the bathroom around 7pm so if you want to consider that sitting down than i did once.

Good riddance to you Cobra! Amscot is better off without you and your jealousy of other people's success!

Gina, you are such a smacked a$$. Yes, I did stand for the entire shift. As Corba said, why would all the people who post on this site lie about not getting breaks? I don't know what your problem is.

Tomorrow I do my 12-hour shift...and I'm certain that I'll be standing for most of it, will only gat one bathroom break and no lunch.

aren't you the one who brought up the busy branch subject? no one at amscot can sit for more than 2 sec with the exception of the dl who sits there for 8 hrs and complains about pulling people up to a window.if you are so in love with amscot wouldn't you know they put the most productive people in the busiest branches, that way they can squeeze every once of life out of them? so in reality he is special in amscot's eyes.(even tho they treat him like a slave)

Workied my 13-hour shift today...and guess what? I stood almost the entire night. And just so you know, my branch consistantly does $20,000 in income each week with eight employees.

Actually Vicky I've been with the company for over five years and I like my job very much. I like my co-workers and my customers a great deal. Please don't group me in with current or cobra.

I post here because I know Corp reads these posts...and I don't feel comfortable bringing some of these issues up in person. Your distinct may be different, but paranoia runs rampant in mine...anyone can be the mole.

I posted a long letter on the "employee mis-treatment" thread. Unfortunately, the topics raised were never addressed and the conversation soon disintegrated into sniping.

I like the firm. I want it to be better. But here, sometimes raising questions paints you as a dissenter or a traitor.

what are you guys talking about whats 10am to 10pm that's nothing, i am not working amscot but i was working at hotel 3am to 1am and again i was going to work 2:30am to 2am until the economy went down and they canceled the all meetings i was making every each week minimum 25hours OT. your guys not working at all, i hope they could hire me and i could show them how i can work, i believe i passed the interview i will wait for training class,
