It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at Army Corps of Engineers?

Any advice on striking the right note?

Try to relax and smile. Remember to always be youself, never try to be someone or something you are not. Dress in business attire, no matter what the position or duties. Putting your pest self forward, shows in your approach, your appearance and your style. Always wait to answer. after the question has been fully stated. Smile and make eye contact with the panel members or individual who is conducting the interview. If you do not know the answer, then say you do not know. First interviews with agencies are usually more about who you are, how you present youself, eye contact friendly and smiling and asking you the applicant to give them some information, after they the panel or Supervisor present an example scenerio and ask how you would respond inf that particular situation. They may ask you how you feel about wearing a uniform, do you have a driver's license and transportation to and from the site, or if you are okay with a schedule of weekends, nights and holidays, since that may be part of the duties required etc. Always thank the panel or supervisor for giving you the opportunity to interview. Good luck and keep learning and growing, Vicky Silcox
