After you've been flown in and put up at the University Park Hotel which is only a little ways from ARUP's main building here's what to expect:
If you're interviewing for the laboratory it will be a group interview. There will be supervisors there and a few suits. The idea is to get you to commit to any job on the spot. Wait for the rest of the story.
Ask about turnover from former employees who will vouch for what is claimed.
Ask how many people have been fired or asked to leave from each department.
Ask about the rights for token males.
If you are a woman then ask about special pregnancy provisions. How many hours do you have to work to get full pay? What about a personal cubicle, phone, and answering machine? They will try to get you to commit to 5 per 8 but you should hold out for 2-3 hours. Anyone who questions this arrangement is either anti-child or not a team player. You have rights!
Ask about advancement potential. How many people have advanced upward from the lab section they are recruiting for?
Ask about management credentials. Do they have master's degrees, or PhD's or ? If not, why do you need them? YOu can always enroll in the special classes available only to ARUP employees and get the ARUP certification while on the jobl. If not, why not? Why should you have to spend years on a antique degree and obsolete national certification whenyou can finish it all up in months?
Who is related to who?
