The initial interview phase is actually a phone conversation with a recruiter from Aureus Medical. The recruiter will want to learn about you, your work and education history, and about what goals you have for your career – travel healthcare opportunities (contract assignments) or full time positions that may be available across the country. The next step is to complete an online profile, which your recruiter will walk you through, that involves an official application and submitting a list of skills, resume, and references. After that, your recruiter will then begin matching you with jobs based on your preferences and from there, once you’ve been presented for a position, interviews with the healthcare facility will follow. For travel positions, interviews are generally over the phone. For direct hire (full time) positions, these may be over the phone or in person. You would prepare for these as you would any other interview, being able to articulate your background, experience, skills, and goals and to convey your strengths and how you will benefit their team. It’s also helpful to have some questions about the position and the facility for the hiring manager, which shows that you have initiative and a genuine interest in the position.
