Do you work at Aurora Health Care? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview?

Any advice for someone trying to get in?

Don't! They are a monopoly which soon or later will be broken up. Plus, they are more loyal to their customers than they are to employees. If it's a question of whether an employee is right or a customer is right, the employee almost always loses, and that mean you can lose your job just like that.

Dont believe everything you read....It took me four years to get my foot in the door and I am zero assigned but I love working for the Aurora group. It is a big place but my department, the fellow employees make it a home. If you work for General Electric do you feel like their number one employee? Probably not. They have addressed any and all of my concerns. It is patient focused but isn't that what health care should be. Isn't that what you want of your health care provider?

HATE AURORA in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

The only advice I can give, as a former employee of Aurora Healthcare is...DON'T DO IT!!!

The absolute WORST place I have ever worked, hands down. This, coming from someone who has had a lot of work experience, including military service. They treat their employees like dirt, and their turnover rate stands to prove it. I started looking for a new job only two weeks after starting there, and got the heck out in less than six months.

first, try to get work in a real hospital, aurora should not qualify, their abuse of physicians and employees is second to none.
second, make sure you are not handicapped! that will stop you from employment or get you fired in some creative and legal way.
third, the management is taught how to lie, cheat and get paid well for it. it must be training because they are all very good at it.
PLEASE reconsider before they rape you of self-esteem, confidence and general well being...
good luck.

I'm not sure these comments are entirely fair. They're pretty old and I imagine that things have changed at Aurora. Readers, take with a grain of salt.
