Hello,

I am being interviewed for a Fraud Analyst I positon with BofA. During the first interview I asked the recruiter if I could apply for the Fraud Analyst II positon, which by the job description I am clearly qualified for with my background. He said I could but in an evasive, tentative trailing off voice sort of way as if I would get neither job if I did. I am desperate for work and level I pays just enough to survive, but I already know I'm overqualified and feel like I'll regret taking it. I have second interview this week for Fraud I with the department head. Should I tell him/her that I've changed my mind and will only go for Level II which I'm well qualified for? Again, I'm desperate for work, and Level I is a bird in hand right now. Thanks.

To sum up the mindset of BOA management: Total arrogance, narcissim, and stupidity.

These stuff shirt courtiers playing "dress up", sit impassively behind large oak desks while passing judgment (and gas) on the desperate humans(which they have ceased to become) who have the sad misfortune of putting themselves in their power.

I was offered a job, but didn't take it.

The pay is low, and the supposed gold plated benefits aren't so wonderful. The offered health insurance has a 20% copay on top of a large deductable. Well if you get hit by a car, you're going to be broke even with 80% coverage.

I found a better gig. But I live in the desert and eat locasts and honey before serving these pimps.
