What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at Bank Of America? What do you like best about working at Bank Of America? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees? |

what do tellers earn? |
|
Former BofA Recruiter in Los Angeles, California 65 months ago |
Bank Tellers in the Los Angeles area make $9.00 an hour, work part time, are expected to be available Monday-Saturday any schedule, and must wear a suit to work every day. But hey, it was $8.50 an hour when I first started there. |

You are crazy to work there for that long, only making $15 an hr, and no raise in 2 years! I am not sure what you do but I would think your job stability and skills could get you a job with more pay! |

Harriet said: Unless you are in an executive/coporate/administrative position, the starting salaries are low at BOA considering that it's a multi-billion dollar company. Depending on the position, salaries average 21k-35k. The fraud dept is the worst - extremely high turnover, a pathetic management staff that wouldn't know organized if it bit them in the face, ridiculous work schedules, and advancement based on favoritism. The benefits are excellent! The associate discount program is worthless. And bonuses?...what's that? These criticisms are just the tip of the iceberg. Bank of America...(lol) don't let the famous name fool you. |

Does anyone know the starting salary for the BoA Personal Banker position? |
|
Looking To Do Better, Atlanta, GA in Decatur, Georgia 61 months ago |
The last time I checked the starting salary for a personal banker at B OF A is roughly anywhere from 25K to 28K (give or take) plus bonuses. |

I'm thinking of applying for a job at BOA as a branch manager with over 14 yrs of experience. Does anyone know much the starting salary is for this position? |
|
MH in Hillsboro, Oregon 59 months ago |
Same response as a month ago - cal the HR department of BofA and ask them what the salary range is. It's partly dependent on geography, part of branch size/profit goal. Contact them and ask. |

I want to know how is the bonues earned as a Personal Banker in Bank of America? they count individual or as a team for the whole branch reps. Please let me know, I applied and I am in the next step wich is the personal interview, any tips that you can share with me for the interview please? Also, how is the job is so stressful or not. Bye |
|
MH in Cornelius, Oregon 59 months ago |
Chandra - use this question in your interview. You have every right to ask about how compensation is calculated, including what is the potential maximum bonus you can earn relative to your base salary, You need to clarify your English - does the last sentence as:
I don't think anyone can answer that. Stress is based on what you find stressful. Again, ask in the interview what specifically the job entails so you can see if those activities are stressful for you. Also, for most people, stress comes from your immediate supervisor. Make sure you talk one on one with that person to see how well you relate. Good luck. |

Chandra the personal banker is given goals to meet with minimum qualifiers...the bank also gets similar goals just larger...if you make your goals you bonus even if the bank does not. I worked as a PB for a long time and know all about the position. |

How do you find salary information if you DO NOT work for BofA. I am interviewing soon and would like to have a base knowledge of pay. |
|
MH in Hillsboro, Oregon 59 months ago |
Talk with the HR department. They should be willing to give you the salary range for positions you are interested in. |
|
A in Elmhurst, New York 59 months ago |
They told me the salary very openly before I applied. It's one of the ways the screen out applicants. Unlike other companies, I don't think it's a problem if you ask. |

If it's not on the website, look in the local newspaper, or ask at a local banking center. |

It really does depend on what you do. For example a customer service rep I (call center-prime/model) makes about 12.30hour, but if you work an evening shift you get a 10% pay differential, if you speak another language fluently (with professionalism) add another 10% on top of that. Customer service rep II makes about 16 to 17 an hour (like the cd/ira dept and online banking), some customer service repII positions pay only 13-14 an hour.

Contact them and ask. You can contact HR but honestly you would be wasting your time. HR reps are so tight lipped about salaries you will be lucky if they don't disconnect you when you call. As a general rule of thumb an hr recruiter will never tell you a specific salary (NOT EVEN A RANGE) unless they are prepared to make a job offer to you. Your best bet is to use reliable resources such as employees of the bank, payscale.com, or vault.com.

Host said: What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at Bank Of America? Bank of America has excellent benefits. They have tuition reimbursement, adoption reimbursement, flexible time off, paid holidays, and they still offer a PENSION PLAN: but it has been reduced significantly. There is also reimburesment for childcare if you meet the income guidelines, an annual bonus if the company meets or exceed its goals.

I am interviewing for a Financial Advisor with B of A. Does anyone know the salary range for this? This would be for a level 1. Also, does anyone know if this is a good job with b of a. thanks! |
|
MH in Hillsboro, Oregon 59 months ago |
I retired from BofA in Portland, albeit 5 years ago. The company is a rewarding place to work, but be aware that the pressue on customer-facing people to produce sales is pretty intense. When you make your goals and the banking center makes its goals, the avaialble pay and bonusare (well, used to be) pretty good. Alas I cannot tell you what current salaries are, but the HR deparment should be able to give you the salary range for a particular job you are applying for. I noticed a sign on my local branch last night that there is a career fair coming up on, I think, the 25th and 26th at the 1001 SW 5th location. Go to a banking center to check it out, and then go to the career fair to get as much info as you can. Employee benefits at the bank are very good. Good luck. |

I have been applying at BOA for over a month and still have not received a call back....I was a teller at Wachovia for over three years and I am currently a Collections/Branch Manager. I am applying for a PB position or Mgr position in the Atlanta area. I am 3 classes shy from receiving my BS in Psychology and minor in Bus. Admin. What am I doing wrong?? My back ground check is on point as well as my credit. |

My back ground check is on point as well as my credit. I got the PB job as an entry level; I just graduated in May. So, I can tell you that as long as you have a Bachelor's degree, they don't care. In terms of experience, I know that they stress on sales experience greatly - esp. on experience that dealt with meeting goals. I was probably hired because I had a number notable achievements in sales. Before the entire process for me took place, I had to fill out a screening survey. One of the question was salary expectation. Could they have screened you out from that? |

P in Dallas, Texas 57 months ago |
B of A just called me and told me they would be interested in me for the Sales and Service position. I applied for the PB positon because that is what I have been doing for a while, I started out as the Sales and Service role a long time ago, the only difference was pay. When I started in the banking field the small bank I was with paid me 29,500 a year, my friend makes that as a teller at another bank but bank of america told me they could only pay 22-26K for the sales and service position. I told them thanks but no thanks, anyone interested in this rold should try a small bank or credit union they'll pay alot more and you'll get the same experience. The guy who called me to talk from HR didn't even know I was already licensed!!! Even though it says it clearly under licenses on my resume, when I told him what I had been doing and what licenses I have he seemed shocked like he heard it for the first time. He tried to back pedal and sell me on the position, then he tried to say that I don't have the experience they require allthough my experience matched perfectly and I have more than enough educational background. What a douche bag. I am not impressed at all by the b of a hiring practices seems liks no one gives a damn about their job so far. |

I did this for a smaller bank a while back and was paid about 30K year plus incentive about 400 month and 1000 a quarter, B of A pays low 20's for this with about 2K year incentive. |

Does Bank Of America Offer Benefits And Bonuses If Your Working Part Time Teller? |
|
some one in Dallas, Texas 57 months ago |
So now I think I pissed B of A off some how. I exceed every qualification for the PB position but cannot get a single call back. Since they last called me for the other position. I just couldn't take it because it would be dropping my income in half and I would honestly be go in the hole by taking that position. I would take it if I could afford to and promote later but I can't. I keep applying but nothing... wtf! I have gotten calls from other banks no problem been to interviews and have good prospects what is wrong with the recruiters at B of A? |
