What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at BATH & BODY WORKS? What do you like best about working at BATH & BODY WORKS? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees? |

I worked at BBW not so long ago and i had a wonderful experience there. As employee i had 30% off at the store and 20 or 25% (dont remember) in the others stores that belong to limited brands (victoria's secret, express, the limited, white candle co. ) Sometimes when a product is introduced we used to get (before hitting the market) travel size samples of the product .

The pay is pretty much what you'd expect. I think it differs based on location, but the ranges I've heard are pretty much in keeping with retail starting wages. PT benefits are great - 30% at the store. During holiday, 20% at related stores (Victoria's Secret, White Barn, and The Limited - Express has been sold). After 90 days (or is it 60?), the 20% crossbrand discount is always on your pay stub. Managers get 30% crossbrand starting, and increase to 40%. You can expect free items or samples whenever something new comes in (which is often!). The company also runs a lot of contests, esp. during the holidays. Sometimes the contests are against other stores (pretty big prizes - $25 giftcard for each PT person, more for managers), and sometimes they're within the store (free full size item, $10 giftcard, etc). During the holidays this past year, the company gave employees something every week - one week it was a scarf, the next a pair of socks, a box of candy for the break area, etc. The training is also really good - not only are people trained when they're first hired, everyone gets refresher courses thoughout the year. I've worked with people who have been PT for 2, 3, 4+ years - the turnover is really pretty low for retail. Even people who hire on for just the holiday season or school breaks come back the next year. No company is perfect, and BBW has it's flaws, but it is a really fun place to work. |

The pay should start off around 8.00 an hour. I work at Victoria's Secret..and I was told the payrate is the same. |

I just started working at Bath and Body Works. I have one part time job, and after their emails started advertising for holiday help, I got a second job with them. I'm enjoying it, but so far have not been scheduled for more than 4 hours a week. Will I start to get more hours as we get closer to Christmas? Or does the company hire LOTS of part-timers and give them very few hours each? (If the latter is the case, I'd recommend the job if you want a little extra money and want to take advantage of the discount, but NOT if you're expecting the job to contribute substantially to your income.) |
