The interview process was not that long actually. They ask you the basic questions:

Tell me about yourself
Tell me about your previous position/experience
Why should I hire you
What do you see yourself doing in the next 5 years

This depends of course on the position for which you are applying for.
I applied for the loan specialist position and the document specialist I and II positions

I applied for a job a few weeks ago and haven't heard anything. Any advice on who to call or how to get an interview? Should I go to the local branch and introduce myself?

It will not help you to go to the branch. I dont know what position you have applied for but I recently left BB&T as a Bankcard & Merchant Services CSR and I do not recommend working with the company. Some positions are thru a temp agency and it takes over a year to be hired permantly.

I went for an interview a couple of years ago. They never called or sent a letter to at least tell me that the position had been filled. Great customer service bb&t.
