Best Buy suspicion - They will ruin your career.

I learned of the suspicion shortly after starting work there. I was warned, "If you find another position do not tell anyone where. If they find out they will terminate your contract." In other words, they have no trust or respect for employees, especially contract employees. I replaced someone else who was honest and hard-working and after he trained me he suddenly disappeared. I found out why when they terminated my contract as well. However, end of employment was not the worst of it.

After working there only 3 months I began to notice that there were mysterious people watching me. At first I paid no attention to it however as it intensified there was no question that I was watched by both the in house security and others. Naturally, my human response was to avoid them. However, as I avoided them they only increased how much they were monitoring me.

I tried to address this concern with the management to no avail. Each time I mentioned it the monitoring stopped for 24 hours only to intensify the following day.

Finally, they ended my contract. My next position ended in a similar way after only a month. Here too the following and monitoring intensified until the end. Thus, I suspect there was defamation on the part of Best Buy. Defamation is illegal in Minnesota.

In 20 years of working I have never encountered this kind of treatment.
