It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at BlackRock? Any advice on striking the right note? |

Very negative interviewing style. I had a phone screen with two people at the same time. They were belligerent and arrogant, I kept trying to figure out why they even wanted to interview me. It was an hris job, I told the recruiter I was not technical, during the interview they were asking me to tell them the specific field names (as they exist in the database). Glad it went no further! |

Kiss their ass and lick their boots. Don't expect much even when you do that. I couldn't stand their NYC work environment - they have their developers sitting at long bench-like desks FACING EACHOTHER with no barrier in between. You have about 4 feet of bench-desk space and THAT'S IT. No cubicles, and the "higher-ups" share office space, two or three to a small office. It's crap man. Lots of young worked-to-death freshies who think that all their long hours and worked weekends and evenings will one day pay off... |
