Just wondering if anyone else is currently going through the application/hiring process for boeing here in San Antonio. They are said to be hiring 400+ people for the dreamliner mods. I myself have applied for an Electrical Mechanic job and had a phone interview. Havn't heard anything back as of yet but on the Boeing website im still listed "Under Consideration". Just wondering if anyone is is the same boat as I am because its a nerve wracking process waiting for a response.

Chris, Congrats on the phone interview! Check out the hiring process thread here as The Boeing Company seems to follow one method for all sites these days. The places will obviously be diferent but the process is the same. It all just takes time and is all pretty much done online through your BESS account and email. It varys greatly from person to person but it is safe to say it can take weeks to hear anything and then even more weeks if you get an offer. Hang in there though it's worth it and the folks here are very helpful.

Best of luck!

So are you gonna spill about the pay? I know what they offered us in SC was no where near what he makes doing the same job he does now. We were told that they offer more than SC or WA.

I guess they cant find enough people to fill the slots? A co worker applied a little bit before I did and had already been given a start day of mid April but due to his job he pushed it out till the end of May. Hat have you completed the eye exam and all the other bs?

Hi,

I just moved to San Antonio and am looking to apply at Boeing, but their website is kind of frustrating me. When I was in Everett, WA, I got offered a job for Inspector and Assembler B after being helped out by a friend. However, that job listing was not listed on their website as hiring. The only job they had "available" online was a counter-terrorism specialist. Now, looking for jobs on the boeing site for San Antonio is telling me the same thing. They have a counter- terrorism spot open and a manufacturing specialist. Neither of which are what I'm looking for. I was wondering if someone had any advice for me or could reference me to contact someone directly that would help me out? I am very qualified, just separated from the Navy and have extensive experience in mechanics, safety, quality assurance, airframes, etc. Thank you so much!

There not going to give u a inspector or any QA job just on military experience. U need civilian QA experience. You need to apply for a structure job. There always hiring those guys. Just call Boeing and talk with a hr rep

Well, about 10 friends got hired specifically with ONLY military experience, but thank you!!!! There are structure jobs, but they require a Bachelor's degree, which I unfortunately do not have. But I will definitely call and ask. Thanks so much for replying!!!
