I have been invited to an interview in Everett.
And wouldn't you think with ANY aerospace experience I would have an excellent chance? They've only delivered three (I think) 787s... That's gonna RAMP UP this year.... |

First off, if you have an interview, they want to hire you! You are giving them reasons not to hire you once you take the interview. Secondly your training will differ based on what job you are doing. And all of the training is paid. Thirdly it took me about 6 months from application date to hire date. I don't know what plane you will be on I'm on the 777 they make one of those every 2.5 days |

Ya.. I don't know what program I'd be on... I just figure there are a lot of transfers going to the 787. The job just says "Everett site support" so it could be anywhere. The job is an inspector job. I'm excited. How long have you been there? |

I've only been here for 2 months as an integral fuel cell inspector, they just got an order for 700, 777s so they are hiring for that again |

How long was your training?
Ha! I used to be a sealer on 777... Mostly panels and wing-jig.
Anyway, ya... How long was your training? And what did you have to do once all clearances passed? Medical test and eye test or something? |

My training is 3 months long I'm sure it will be longer as I'll have to shadow somebody, after the interview I waited 5 days for an offer then I took the UA then eye test, medical questionnaires, and then at the Orr employment processing I had a hearing test done. |

Well I guess I better chime in here also as I also have an interview next week on the 25th. It is good to know that they want to hire me already before I go to the interview. Now I just have to make sure I do not convince them otherwise. I guess its time to start wearing pants again. |

I have been under consideration for a couple of jobs, but no calls for interviews yet. Any hints on the actual resume? Also, I can't seem to email my Boeing resume out of the system. I want to email it so I can work on it and tailor it to other jobs coming up. Is there a usual timeline for 'being under consideration' before they call for an interview? Thanks, for any hints you can give me. |

Try to copy/paste your resume... It's a LONG process... Six months or more from start to finish. Keep applying... Don't give up. |

I just got home from my 2nd interview. I really feel like I aced it! Now we just WAIT. One thing I'm not sure about is that they told me they don't do the deciding. I'm skeptical that was the truth. How could somebody else decide? Hmm, oh well. Either way, I feel pretty good about it! |

The questions will be different. Yes they are STAR questions. You have to base your answers on past experience. You have to turn a negative into a positive. Also, dont make them brief. Explain you answers in DETAIL. At the end of the interview you will be told NOT to tell anybody what the questions might be. But you can find them if you look hard enough. |
