Hi... I got a job offer as a Machine Repair Mechanic A in Auburn WA. I would like to know a little about the job before accepting the offer. Does anyone know what is involve working as a machine repair mechanic with Boeing. How is the job security? Does it require a lot of overtime? How is the work environment in the Auburn plant? etc. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

Ive been with Boeing(Everett) almost 3 months now. Im just about finished with my training. Ive changed positions three times so far in that 3 month time span. I wouldnt worry about what you're getting hired in as. You will more than likely be switched around a few times by the time your training is finished. Just get your foot in the door and then you can go where you want in the company after a year. |

Thanks for your information, also I have just read your reply in another post about the training. I did not know that I am going to receive 10 weeks training as a machine repair mechanic, but what you are saying it is not that difficult. Bottom line if you have an average IQ and comes to class every day, then you are going to pass the training. |

Machine repair may be a different timeframe for training. Some training is 5 weeks, some is 12 weeks. Just depends. Good luck. |
