Hi, I am in the process of getting hired, waiting on my background checks to go through for the Assembler General Installer B position in Everett, WA. I keep hearing about union and non union jobs within Boeing. Whats the difference? do you have a choice? pros and cons? any insight on this would be greatly appreciated! :)

Your job would be union. No you don't have a choice (in Boeing in Washington), but unions can be a great thing for job security. There's alot of opinions out there, but I would suggest strongly that you support your union in a new job because you don't want to make waves as a "newbie". I don't know how the union works at Boeing yet, but I am familiar with some others.
