What's the company culture at CDI?

Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at CDI?

Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers?

What is a typical day in the life of an employee at CDI?

depends where you are assigned. one CAT plant was blue jeans, HQ was 3 piece suit, loosen tie and take off jacket on casual day. Friday get togethers? avoid those with a passion. your drinking buddies will screw you over every chance they get. when cuts come, they will use every thing you ever said to save their job.

REMEMBER:

when you are a contractor, you are lower then whale $hiT! you are dispensable, you are a rental.

I have worked for CDI about five years in the past, only about 6 weeks in their office. I like CDI, some of the managers (all foriegn) I had should have been shot.

when I was in the CAT plants, I generally had no idea who was supposed to be my supervisor. one left at 8:30 in the morning to go build his new home. another was a jesus freak who stared at me 8 hours a day, and if we had to visit another nearby facility, he drove with "GOD" on the radio at full volume to drive off evil spirits, one guy said he was my supervisor after I had been in that building 4 months, I thought he was a clerk a couple of levels below me.

CAT is confusing, as I was told by CDI what to do, get drawings from this guy, check them, send them back, put your time cards here, that was all.
