Absolutely horrible staffing company. Went to an interview and was really excited about the position. Thought it was a perfect fit. Had to call/email them 2, sometimes 3 times, a day for a week to get them to tell me that the company had picked another candidate.
In general there needs to be a staffing agency that works for the jobseeker and not for the client. It's absolutely ridiculous how their communication skills are so bad.
Plus, I hate it when they call and don't tell you what type of position they're calling in regards to. They're just wanting to get some info to put into their database for future reference. Why waste the jobseeker's time?

I don't want to defend these guys in any way, but I do have to say that it wouldn't be very profitable to be working for the job seeker. And seeing how they usually have several slots to fill, they're not going to focus on the individual, they will treat the candidates as numbers, because that's all they are to the staffing company. The way the client views them keeps them in business, so it is necessary to delay any concern for your employment status as long as they can fill the slot when the client wants, with consideration for availability, the lowest accepted wage, and proximity from the company...

Also, these companies(not to pull Corestaff's punk-card) are notorious for hiring people who are "in the system" or "my cousin Cholo" because they have access and can make it easier for a friend/relative. You can't win with these companies, really. Its best to look for direct placement with a bigger company or just spray and pray with resumes!

You know, I understand that they aren't working for the jobseeker. It's just frustrating when you have a person who needs a job to pay their mortgage, etc. and they find this perfect job listing, interview, and then nothing after the interview. Here you are waiting to see if you're in, out, or whatever.
My big tiff was when one of the staffing agencies contacted my references and asked them if they needed help w/ staffing and if they knew of anybody to fill a specific position. When I heard that I flew off the handle. I ended up losing a few of my references b/c of this and I contacted the staffing agency re: and basically cussed them out.
