I am currently employed with a large financial institution in retail banking where I am presently happy, but I'm looking for more of a challenge and I'm more interested in the Investment area. I discovered a position on-line with Charles Schwab as a Client Service Specialist but do not have my Series 7 and 63 licenses, which is preferred for that job. Will that hurt my chances of landing an interview. The position I currently have is very similar in responsibility in consumer banking, but I don't have the investment knowledge.

I have always wanted to work for Charles Schwab. If you work there, are you happy? Any helpful suggestions. Thanks.

I know someone who recently started in that position here in MA and they did not have their Series 7 and 63. Most companies if they like you enough to hire you, will sponsor you for your licences once you are hired. I wouldn't stop that from you applying.
