After being on here, I am no longer proud of that card....used to be , but not anymore, now I wonder what the motivation behind that was?? |

On $100 a consumer could pay: I have one customer that comes to mind that borrowed $300 to begin with and had to re-borrow that same $300 consistantly for 8 straight years. That original $300 calulated to $8640 just in fees over an eight year time period. She borrowed every two weeks and just couldn't get ahead. She finally put a stop pay on her check. This happened a couple of months before I left. I was, at one point, told to encourage her to get a short-term loan at 24% interest. Please explain how this would have helped her......it wouldn't, so I didn't. The averagr ALA in my store was $465. |

So, here is the deal...I was "suspended" today , pending their investigation...which I was told by Linda Melberth,"would most likely result in my termination" for my participation on this site. She asked me "if I owned this business, would I want someone like me, who had negative things to say, working for me?" I said "if I owned this business I would want to get to the bottom of why I had so many disgruntled employees." Has anyone out there been suspended??? In my opinion, it is very odd to be suspended or fired, for participating in a forum that is an expression of free speech! In my opinion, they must be worried about their standing, otherwise in my opinion, I would have been fired. |
|
CNG worker in Indiana 7 months ago |
OMG!!!! I would get an attorney. You are correct about the free speech. This really does not come as a suprise. Here is just another example of CNG trying to get out the ones that won't kiss butt. |
|
BURNT OUT and NEVER AGAIN in Columbus, Ohio 7 months ago |
My other thought is that they are hoping that I will quit,so that I have no chance of getting unemployment..agian that is just in my opinion!NOT going to happen...lets go to court. Thank GOD for the internet...you gotta love that it is all printable,it democratizes employers.Oh and by the way , according to Linda, all the "higher up's" have read this..do you think that the "legal department" has too?? Perhaps that is why I am suspended instead of fired!! In my opinion, I am surprised with the way they run their company, that they can acctually read and comprehend what is posted here. |
|
BURNT OUT and NEVER AGAIN in Columbus, Ohio 7 months ago |
Oh, yeah, I forgot, she, being Linda Melberth, stated that someone would be in contact with me within the next few days.

You go get them!!!! We are all rooting for you. Anybody that I have heard of getting suspended gets paid. I have even know someone to get fired and get severence pay. |

dishartened n go in Columbus, Ohio 7 months ago |
I've been involved with an employee with this company for quite some time now, and I must tell you to RUN!! If you have children, expect the company to put the company first! If you work overtime, and you are a member of managment, expect to be paid less per hour than a illegal mexican feild worker. Expect nothing less than to turn your life over to Check 'N GO,and as CNG fills their pockets, you'll witness the demise of your family, your self esteem, and your very life...all to line the pockets of CNG. CNG is NON-family,PRO-Exploitation in a way that would make Martha Stewart blush! |
|
CNG worker in Indiana 7 months ago |
You are so correct dishartened n go. That is exactly the way CNG does business. |
|
LEGram in Ohio 7 months ago |
BURNT OUT: Remind Linda Melbreth that there is ,in fact, the first amendment. CNG is out for themselves and their pockets. You aren't posting on their time and quite frankly, anything that you do on your own time is your business, not there's. If this is the case, and they do terminate you, as I am positive they are going to do, then they need to terminate 90% of the people they have working for them. I would imagine, the reason for the suspension is to change the locks and codes and to try and find anything you may have in the store of a personal nature that goes against their "rules". Go to my email and give me your home phone again. I will call you tomorrow for sure. This is ludicrous. They aren't God and they need to realize that people aren't going to take this garbage anymore. I certainly hope they are reading this comment and I certainly hope they have figured out who I am. Good grief, I'm too angry to even type right now. Will BRB. |

CapAmerica in Fairfax, Virginia said: Burnt Out and Never Again - John: Just to let you know, I got a letter from unemp. today denying my unemp. One key reason was because I refused a telephone hearing since the people I requested be supeonas for were not present. The hearing took place anyway and stands as previously denyed. The hearing officer in January recused himself for some reason back then, but, was the same hearing officer I had on Thursday. Doesn't make sense to me. I have way too much documentation on this company and no where to go with it. I don't care if they know who I am, I'll be glad to tell them.

Well all I have a comment from my hubby he says to let you all know to hang on there is hope... and to let you all know that he also has documentation and LE if you need some backup let him know. We ourselves are still hoping that CNG is STUPID enough to allow us to get a letter of right to sue for his EEOC complaint and then ALL of his documents will be public record once we file. This will allow all of you access to the low down and dirty. I know CNG allowed others to get that letter and I expect we will have his soon... he filed a complaint with the Civil Liberties Union who forwarded it to the EEOC on his way from DDO fest last year and it will end soon within a couple of weeks now since they have exceeded the statutes of limitations and have to come to a decision soon. |

Does your hubby know? I'm going to email you my phone number from my private email. |

Does the Government really let this company operate? Why haven't they been shut down? I don't think I will be applying to this company at all I see they also have a lot of locations robbed. |
|
LEGram in Ohio 7 months ago |
Making a Living: They have a lot of locations robbed because they do not believe in being fully staffed. Most locations only have two people employed in them and most generally, one of those people work entire days alone with not even a break for lunch. This company does not permit lunch breaks if you are working alone. As for why they are still operating; money talks and B.S. walks, that's how. |

With Davis being on so many boards (CFSA etc) he gets the upper hand. I got the right to sue from the EEOC for discrimination but don't have the money to hire an attorney since they screwed me out of my bonus. That's probably why they kept my bonus. They probably thought if they kept the bonus I wouldn't beable to sue. I just hope something is done to shut that whole company down. |

BB2You in Chicago, Illinois 7 months ago |
Burnt, I replied to that privately to you but it fits in the puzzle think about what you said and to who before your audits started the auditors were there for a reason and they couldn't accomplish what was needed so now the forum is their excuse... This isn't the first time CNG thought they could place a gag order on someone but the cool thing is once you are gone it is fair game just ask the rest of the people here... our attorney figures they us $160,000.00+ still counting for the last 300 days alone still waiting patiently for the right to sue letter : ) That is just his figures they are working on my figures... they aren't as extensive but so far added up to about 40,000.00 can't wait for the class action suit... I was a salary paid 40 hour a week person with another company and because I didn't have two people under my supervision and though an attorney who owned the company had us sign contracts that we understood we were salary I recently received a check for 9700.00 in back overtime pay from a class action suit... the contract was thrown out in court because we did NOT have two employees it takes a little patience but it was worth the 9 months wait to get that check in my hand Unlike the other person who got the letter we do have access to the money to hire the attorney (that is was happens when you are old and ready to go to pasture and have been planning for your retirement and have the date circled on the calander we old people just squirrel away money for a rainey day) and then the Docs we have will be available to you all on the internet like the Smiddy docs were available.

Hey all, just got the call from the "DDO", I have officially been terminated. I have already been in contact with one...apparently there is a little matter of Constitutional rights involved here, and mine may or may not have been "stomped" all over !! We shall see, all I can say is I will pursue this until my last breath.CNG seems to think(In my OPINION) that they dont have to comply with a little thing called the CONSTITUTION. Freedom of speech is a right , not a privilage!! |

Just a thought, maybe he/she will take both cases. I will let you know ASAP. In the meantime, file for your unemp.today. You can do that on-line. They (CNG) will deny it and you will go thru the same process that I am now going thru. With Ohio Unemp., I did find out that they go strictly by what the employer says, whether right or wrong. I will call you soon, had some things to clear up today. |

My girlfriend (Burnt Out and Never Again) was just let go from her job. To say she is devastated would be an understatement. Having watched her give her best efforts to CNG while sacrificing time with her child is most appalling. When she would work overtime she would be paid only half of her hourly rate while her child was watched by baby sitters. When she was sick she was expected to cover her store no matter how ill she was. She is a good person and has always been an exceptional employee for her past employers, until she entered the meat grinder that is CNG. I know that you dregs from CNG monitor this site, so I say to you that we are going on a scorched earth policy against you. Look for more posts from this site, letters to the editors of all the major papers, and any other legal avenue at our disposal to bring some moral clarity to your horrible organization. You sould be ashamed! |

I live in the country and was in a level 3 snow zone and told by Mr.Dawson to be at work or be fired. I risk my life and lives of others and got to work. I wasn't there for the birth of my Grandson because I had to be at work. When my sister-in-law died in 2005, I had to be at work. (I got the funeral day off only) I crushed a hand and had to be at work, even when the Doctor wanted me off. (I had another hand I could use). Family and moral values is definately not an asset that this company has. <content removed> |

I, do now, have that Attorney's name, email and phone number. I will be contacting him tomorrow. I, too, will be joining you. I was paid thru my last day, and what "they felt" I had in unused vacation time. I did not receive my earned $1600 bonus for Qtr.2, nor my extra spiff earnings for short-term loans or Axcess cards. I drove my own car to other stores to train and audit with no mileage compensation. This termination was totally bogus and they know it. I am still fighting for my unemployment, as Ohio is an at-will state and only what the employer states is considered factual. I was not permitted to present any documents in last weeks hearing, being told it was not relevent. I am pursuing this further on the unemp. matter and will start to pursue it with EEOC. I, at this point, will follow any and all avenues with CNG to right a wrong. If they retaliate in any way, a law officer lives right next door to me. |

I know I will be joining this fight. It's ok for CNG to harrass & stalk their ex-employees because they THINK they are working for the competition but when their employees express there concerns or blow off steam OFF THE CLOCK they fire them. This company definitely needs to be stopped. I also was thinking back to Christmas when they decided two weeks before Christmas not to give us our Christmas bonus and that the year of service gift that we could all pick was suppose to be a part of that Christmas bonus, I still have not gotten that and I ordered that at the beginning of October I believe. I emailed the contact at the company we ordered from and my reply was that CNG put a hold on the shipping of those gifts. We all need to pull together and give CNG what they deserve. |

I was just doing some research, and it seems that I may also have a case in regards to retaliation, since I was fired within 2 weeks of making my first phone call to HR.Who knows, maybe they finally messed up in a really HUGE way.Seems rather odd doesnt it???? Of course this is just my opinion! |
