What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at Chevy Chase Bank?

What do you like best about working at Chevy Chase Bank? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees?

employees dont make much here. the jobs are mostly commission, and there is no business coming in. in fact, customers are ditching chevy chase at a record pace.

I would know, I worked there. also, they dont give a s*** about the workers

Special Treats..LOL!!! Mine was the day they gave me my severance package and told me I had no job..They treat employees like dirt and its sad when an employee walks out with a smile..knowing they don't have to come back!!

The workers that were productive and worked and played well with others still work there, I love my job. Not many companies any more celebrate employees with 20+ or 25+ years on a regular basis. if it was so bad then they wouldnt have so many staying so long.

I am paid more than my previous employer would pay. I love my job, have a good attitude and work well with others, I am still here, unlike these crybabies who posted above.

If you love your job, then you are the only one over at CCB who does!! A high percentage of employees are actively seeking work elsewhere and employee morale is very low. I suspect the above poster is probably some overpaid manager who will lose their job in the next round of layoffs.

Having received an excellent performance review just recently, I can attest that productivity has nothing to do with it. And of course working well with others at CCB means, brownnosing with management and much more in some cases.

Crybabies? No, we speak the truth about the place.

Chesty, WELL SAID, I agree with EVERYTHING you wrote!!!!!!! I would not recommend this bank to any employee or consumer!!!!!! I am in the same boat as you...laid off even after top performance and putting in avg 55 hrs per week as a salaried employee. Crummy severance and not even a "thank you" for my hard work, single handedly making all their goals at a branch...CCB trully SUXS!

I never went anywhere, just didn't see this for a while lol

No I am not a manager, just one of the worker bees that is not disgruntled. If such a high percentage are leaving why do they still have 20 and 25+ year employees celebrating anniversaries there? The 4th quarter flyer came out with more 20+ years on it than any previous flyer shown this year. Can't be all bad then can it?

No I have not been laid off either, still working there and recently promoted because of good solid work, no brown nosing. It's funny that you crybabies think that it takes brown nosing to get ahead, maybe because your work sucked, maybe your work ethics, maybe a combination of many things, so you have to come up with a lame excuse to make others look bad because you were let go lol.

I work hard, I have a good attitude, and I am glad to be employed there.
