Do you work at Cingular? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview?

Any advice for someone trying to get in?

I do not know how you get hired on there. I applied there went in for the testing was told I passed with flying colors was told by the man who did the testing that I would be hired no problem. He then set up my one on one for 10:00am on a Tuesday morning, well Ed was told 9:00am so right off the back he thought I was late. The guy who did the testing even came out and said "Don't worry, you are so hired". Then on Thursday I got a postcard in the mail saying I did not get the job. No reason why or nothing. I had told everyone I had a job and was real excited, with alot of help from the tester. I even cried and was made to feel worthless. They are very very unprofessional as far as I am concerned!!!

Neither Chris nor you have "perfect" grammar. I wish that there were at least some people using this forum who had writing skills better than a middle school student.

Gramma rian, I hope your day and your life both get better. Leave it to people like you to try and rain on someone's parade. Don't you recall? "If you can't say something nice, zip it!"

And by the way, "middle-school" is hyphenated. Na na na na na...

"Grammarian" is one word, G. Ruffin in Powder. Have you ever heard of proofreading?

One does not "try and rain on someone's parade," but rather one would try TO rain on someone's parade. Have you ever heard of an infinitive? Learn how to use infinitives properly or I will take them away from you.

Middle school is not hyphenated. I will wager that you also mistakenly hyphenate "elementary school" and "high school." Have you ever heard of school? Perhaps you should attend school long enough to acquire grammatical acumen.

What? Since when is "middle school" hyphenated? It is no wonder to me that some of you cannot find jobs. Employers detest illiterates.

Actually Employers detest people that can't work together in a work. They like it when you can work together peacefully to accomplish the goals with as few criticisms as possible. They also expect their employees to give their best effort towards the job at hand. So could we please get back to the discussion topic and keep the bickering out of the work atmosphere.

Thank You

Left Hanging in Houston, Texas

The application and interview process was easy. However, it took a month for me to actually start. They sent me to training in the Midwest, 100's of miles from my home, stating all expenses would be paid for before I left but they left me hanging. I went to their training for 10 days but they didn't send my travel expense funds until 3 days before it was time to return home and the amount they sent was nowhere near what they promised. I promptly quit when I got back. My Cingular/The New AT&T experience was the worst!
