What's the company culture at Cingular?

Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Cingular?

Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers?

What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Cingular?

This job is a joke don't do it. They are turning this place into a call center. If you're serious don't take anything less than 43k they are cheap! No growth in this department a bunch of women & you know how that can be..... You will be answering phones & logging in everything you do all day. CRT aka HELL.......

Nicky, try working in hospitals like I have done; the women sit behind their desks drinking diet Coke, eating microwave popcorn, and complaining about their husbands or boyfriends while patients wait for treatment. The gossiping and feuding is constant.

My advise is to stay away from Cingular/AT&T. The company sets goals according to major market areas and small market are to meet them or else. The ARSM is a 30 something snot nosed twit. Their ethics, oops sorry they have no ethics. As a sales Consultant we were expected to run a customer's bill as high as we could. Since AT&T took over the stress levels have become unbearable. The stress is so high that you cannot get together with your co-workers because they are stabbing you in the back. My advise work for someone else, stay away from AT&T.

The application and interview process was easy. However, it took a month for me to actually start. They sent me to training in the Midwest, 100's of miles from my home, stating all expenses would be paid for before I left but they left me hanging. I went to their training for 10 days but they didn't send my travel expense funds until 3 days before it was time to return home and the amount they sent was nowhere near what they promised. I promptly quit when I got back. My Cingular/The New AT&T experience was the worst!
