I am trying to get into this facility and have been applying for positions there though their career web site and just never hear anything back from them. I have 15 years of mortgage industry experience in management, underwriting, and sales. Does anyone have any information to break through with this facility? |

Maybe going to a HR dept??I found out that most of the HR recruiting is done out of Dallas. HR is a big black hole from what I have been told. Your best bet is to find your job description and place those key words into your resume. The best bet though is to NETWORK and find people that work there and get your resume to some hiring managers. HR is NOT the way to go with Citi. They are extremely slow at response time. I have been working with a recruiter out of New York and it is on the 2nd month. The powers that be at Citi drag their feet. Good Luck! |

Their website is a nightmare to apply through. I also have had no luck with a response. They must not be in to big of a hurry to place candidates in these positions that they have posted on just about every major job website. |

I know some of the HR's there and I was told in order to get a better position in the company, it is better to leave the company, then come back...I was told this by a recruiter. Isn't that sad? |

I have worked for this location. The best way to get hired is to go to the location, speak with HR. Give them your resume and they will ask you to apply online. Mention that you have trouble logging onto the website. What they did was give my resume directly to a manager in the department I was looking to gte hired onto. I recieved a call about a week later and was working there 3 weeks later. I left the company due to some persoanl family reasons. There are good people that work there, you have to come there and work, show up on time and assist management in whatever projects they may have. My paid was reasonable to what I was doing. In short, if you put your time in you will get promoted and have good benefits. I keep in touch with people from my training class and found over 75 percent are still there five + years later with promotions and good benefits. The key to not being a victim of their re-structuring to cross-train and have various skills so that you can do lateral movements if the needs arises. To do the upwad movements you have to shine significantly above the rest of the pack. soda13usa |

Efforts to become employed at Citi are found to be futile. Is anyone aware of the outsourcing of jobs in the U.S. to India. There are Plenty. Citi has been using personnel in India for at least 5 years. |

This company is a joke to apply with. They act like it is Fort Knox to get through to a real person on the phone. All I want is to talk to a real person in human resources. I'm getting a runaround. The online application process is also a joke. I am a professional person but I am having trouble with this. It is very frustrating. They should be more accessible if they want to fill their positions. |

I agree, and wouldn't blame you. If you don't know anybody already working for this company, the best way to get in is through recruitment/temp agencies. They usually have several per location. Find out who the major one is in your area. Once your get the position, use the intranet employment site to apply for whatever the full-time position within the company. That's lot easier and less time-consuming than going through their external job-site, also more chance to get the position since they first post openings within the company. However, the biggest con is, even if the position was already filled, they still post externally, such as monster, careerbuilder etc. If you are not in the company, the chance is that the position you are applying for was very likely already filled before external candidate even know about it. |

It doesn't matter how big a company is, it's still a matter of who you know. This will never change. My girlfriend is on double secret probation there ( or whatever they call it ) by a twentysomething year-old manager who does not have a college degree....oh, the manager is a woman.... |

Hey Steve, I've worked for them before. It is all about who you know with that company. It's horrible places are like that. |
