Does anyone know anyone who actually works for clearwire in Las Vegas? I have been interviewed 6 times over the phone they always tell me they are going to pass this on to the next level. It never happens then a couple months later they call again and act like we have never spoke before. I have a current job so its no big deal but I have been talking to them since Dec of 2006.

Does anyone ever get hired? are they really that disorganized there?

Clear launches June'09 in Vegas. I know that they've had tech's working on the build for about a year and they have just started hiring for sales and support staff. There is also a call center in Vegas that takes customer care and tech support calls.

I am not sure what the culture is like in the center, but I can't imagine it's much different then the field. Overworked, controlled, manipulated and ungratified. These people will try to turn you into a machine-- in the name of sales production-- and there is no end to the madness until you leave.

And yes- they are that disorganized. BEWARE OF CLEAR!!!

I went to orientation which was 8 hours. It was the most horrible experience I've had since I can remember.

I read some sales reports that came through on my new clearwire email and saw they actually have a 65%-70% cancellation rate. That's obsurd!!!!

I've worked for many companies and sold a variety of different products, but 70% avg cancellation rate for anything is astronomical!!! Can you say Chargeback city? That's all I needed to see.

I haven't gone back nor will I suggest anyone waste their time with them. I was lucky enough to have not quit my previous job for this one or I would have been royally scrwed!!!

Man you are lying about their cancelation rate or the way they conduct business. I am not sure what they are thinking in their hiring process. I interviewed 4 time for the Indirect Account Manager in Las Vegas. Now keep in mind that I have been the Indirect Account Manager for AT&T Wireless for 12 years in Los Angeles. So my experience is vast in this position. After all the time wasted with them the recruiter informed me that they decided to promote someone in the Customer Service Call Center?? The reason was that they had been with Clearwire for several months and he was more familiar with the Product, which they felt trumped actual Indirect Experience. Then offered me the Indirect Account Executive Position which is a step below. That blew my mind. They chose someone who had ZERO experience in Indirect but had been trained on the product.

I am glad however they choose him because the more I read about Clearwire the more people should stay away from them. I cannot imagine them being around for a long time. Even though they are using Sprints Broadband System.

Anyway Thank you Clearwire from letting me make a huge mistake.
