Yes, I work at CSU. I got in through the ground floor -- started as a secretary and worked up to a student services position. However, CSU has eliminated or is not refilling many of the lower support positions. You do have an advantage over CSU staff members, though because HR does not like to promote from within so your chances of getting hired are better than a current employees chances. But I can tell you that most CSU employees (excluding faculty and management) are miserable. The pay is lower than average and there is almost no advancement because, like I said, the "administration" has instructed HR not to promote from within so they can "get rid of" the past and bring all new people in. So, if you want to get a job here in a lower position just realize you'll be stuck there for years.
