What do you think - will Cobalt Engineering grow fast? Are they expanding their staff? How does Cobalt Engineering stack up against the competition? |

Check out their website for careers and Craigslists for positions as they are often hiring Mechanical and sometimes Electrical Engineers. There's a fairly high turn over rate at Cobalt Engineering. They laid off around eight employees in the fall of 2010 and a dozen left on their own for other firms between just after the layoffs and through out 2011. Having said that there are also some people who have stayed there for 5 - 10+ years so it really depends on you. I'd say if you're looking for work and would like to get some experience in Mechanical or Electrical design, it's not a bad option to consider coming to Cobalt. How they stack up to their competition you ask? Well that depends on what aspect. Learning and experience they are good. In terms of salaries and work / life balance, not so good. Personally I was working long hours and making a salary far lower then industry standards which is why I left but the time I was there was great for the experience. |
