Do you work at Combined Insurance? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview? Any advice for someone trying to get in? |

Nowadays every company has good and bad bits. combined might not be a career unless you make it one. its a hard and tough business to make your career in, but guess what. i did. i am still there. must say don't get personal time. but than again that's me. i don't care. i make money, manage people. never mislead. i always say, this is how its gonna be, if you do not want to join, or want to quit, better now than later. its not for you if you cant take it. but for you if you can and still make money. too much to sacrifice, but a lot to gain on the other hand. more sacrifice more you earn. let me know if you need any other advise. bottom line, not the best line to be in, but it takes a bsr to work with bsrs loll |

You should be willing to work independently, that's why they contacted me. However, What the other commenters have said is essentially true. I've been at it a month and It's hard to keep my chin up. I've almost given up, but today my very first cold call, from a month ago, which didn't go well at all, (at least I got to leave a brochure) CALLED ME wanting insurance. Patience truly is a virtue. True I'm not selling 5,000 apv a week, but now I can actually see myself pulling it off. |

Here's the trick - if you do not have a problem soliciting people very hard to sell a product, then this job is for you. You will be told by Combined that it takes 5 presentations to sell a product to a customer. If you do not feel that you are capable of pushing people into a sale, avoid this career. |
