Hi all,

I just applied for an Inbound Sales Rep. position at a local call center. Does anyone know what this position pays and if there is much chance to advance? I have 2 years call center experience for a major insurance company and a Bachelor's degree. Also, what are the typical work hours? Thanks in advance.

I just finished all of the interviews for that same position here in Michigan. I have a bachelors degree in Business Management. I told them that I would expect to advance within a year. They said it would depend on my performance, so I asked a friend who works there, and she said only the best of the best advance. Basically unless your sales are stellar, top notch, you are staying in the same position. It pays $11.75 an hour standard. No commission which I thought was odd being that its a sales job. But I don't have many other opportunities at the moment so I guess I will have to take it and hope I exceed my sales goals and performace expectations! After all, people will have cable and internet even when they dont have much money, so I think the industry is one of the more stable industries in the economy. And Comcast is a leader for sure, so if you really apply yourself and make yourself shine, it could be a great opportunity. I just don't think its going to be handed to you easily.

For those of you in Business Management/sales, have you considered owning your own business? It's possible to earn a full-time income working part-time from home with a low start-up cost as every business requires some capital. Continue to "invest" in your business and watch your business grow. With some work on your end and consitency you have the "option" to earn an income 3 ways.

oh forgot about telling you the hours...basically you will work as per the needs in the call center. So Comcast is open what? 8a-10p? you work a variety of hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, everything. that was a bit of a turnoff to me, but if u advance things could get better.

People WILL have internet as they rely on this to "make a living" working from home. As far as cable I know many People are busy and don't have much time for TV anyway are becomiing more active anyway getting involved with their community and their children.

Nothing is ever handed to you. It requires work. However, I'll be honest, you can't live on $11.75/hr. Not these days. At least not comfortably.

If your looking for something that will bring you commissions. A business with residual income is the way to go.

Our goal is to retire early so that our business will only need maintenance so we can ENJOY life but our VISION is to reach that goal in our 40's ~

yeah lemme just pull a few hundred g's to start a business outta my butt lol. though i kind of like the way you're plugging your idea, i know people who wake up in the morning and start their day off with a screwdriver then go teach literature to teenagers, but that doesn't mean i'm going to invest in a neighborhood liquor store anytime soon.

you're forgetting to mention that 50% of small businesses fail within the first year and 95% fail within the first five. i don't think i'll be ready to "retire" penniless within five years.

This is a home based business. You can literally own your own business for under $50 a month. Unlike the cost that's invlolved with paying a franchise fee, your employees, and your overhead, you work from home.

We have a "team" of men & women who wrok their business full-time or part-time. Some are already retired and are looking to supplement their income and some have a 9-5 JOB and have started this business with the GOAL to earn enough enough "residual" income to fire their boss and work their business full-time earning a full-time income, make sense?

Like I said, it's our job to introduce the "opportunity" to you, train and mentor you. "You are in business for yourself but not by yourself".

We have a reputable company, (you can check with the Better Business Bureau). The company is located in Wilkes-Barre, PA which is just 2 hours away from where we live.

We have a consumable product with one of the highest retail profit percentages ever offered, a compensation plan developed to produce income without huge quotas, inventory or stress.

If you would like to research our company & products further: www.smellthesuccess.net
You can request an information packet to be mailed from our home to yours which will also include 2 scent-samples and you will be enrolled in our Free Candle Business eCourse Lessons and recieve access to our non-distributor Candle Business "forum" where you can read over "posts" already made about the business opportunity and post any questions or comments you may have in regards to joing as a distributor.

This business does not require going to a bank and borrowing money, a loan to pay for a store-front such as in a mall and stock it full with inventory and carry liabilty insurance, employees to pay and your overhead.

This is a home based business in metwork marketing so pleaase understand the difference. That's "why" we provide "training".
