I have a question for you guys/gals I had my phone interview today for the door to door sales position...And im not sure how the process goes, they didnt really give me an exact answer just that I would receive a phone call if I was selected for the next step 1on1 interview. The Phone interview was only 12-15mins long, not sure what to expect any help....Sorry you know how it is when you are eager to start a job but not sure if they were interested |

I have a role play screening tomorrow. I have done the initial phone screen and assesstment. Any pointers on this process? Also they told me if I passed the role play there is one more stage and that is the person to person. What should I expect. Its been a pretty quick moving process but I am nervous about this role play thing. |

I applied online 06.06.2010. On 06.10.2010 I received the call inviting me to take the assessments required for Communications Technicians. I passed that test on 06.15.2010. I had an interview two days later on 06.17.2010 and was recommended for hire by the two managers that interviewed me. A background check was conducted on me right after the interview. I was called on 07.09.2010 to be informed that I had been selected for employment (conditional offer) pending a negative drug screening. I took the drug test on 07.12.2010 and two days later on 07.14.2010 I received a call formally and officially offering me the position of Communications Technician, starting hourly rate of 12.25. I was scheduled for orientation and training. I start Monday 07/19/2010 and training the next day as a Communications Technician. Once I attend orientation, I will come back and update you all on pay, benefits, career advancement, nature of the work/business, company culture, etc,. |

Sarasota Comcast is conducting a training class right now for the call center and there will be another one right behind this. Go to www.comcast.com hover over ABOUT click on CARRERS and then when that page loads on the right hand side you will see "COMCAST OPPURTUNITIES" and will be able to search for the local positions. The call center job isn't on there right now but should be on within a few weeks when this currrent training class is winding down. Currently there are 2 postings for Direct Sales Reps (field sales) and a Multi Dwelling Unit Inside Sales Specialist. Come on and apply the benefits are great! :) If you are near Fort Myers, FL they currently have the Call Center position posted (Customer Account Executive) allong with a Traffic Specialist, Business Account Executive and MDU Inside Sales. :) |

Not true I just got hired at Comcast and i'm absolutely not a good ole boy. It didn't take them that long to call me for and interview either. But it takes a while. They wait for a background check and you have to do a drug test. Really its just experience. FYI I'm only 20 so age isn't a factor either |

I apply over the website, then received an email with a test of more that 125 questions, difference sometimes and other times same questions in difference orders. Then I received a call from a Comcast Recruiter who made me an phone interview, then she call me back the same day to schedule an interview with a supervisor. I take it and since that, never heard anything of Comcast, has been 2 weeks since that. What's the time that I'm suppose to wait until the next step ?? Thank You |

Comcast called me this morning after I filled out an application last night. I had no idea they were going to interview me right then and there! They asked me a few questions and I messed up on a few. I can't believe that I couldn't explain to them where to find a web address. I just wasn't expecting it. The interviewer told me she will forward my questions to HR department. Does this mean I messed up??? |

I found an opening for Comm Tech 1 on careerbuilder.com. Applied through Comcast website 5/14/2012 and had an email the next day to take an assessment test. I took the test online yesterday (5/15/2012.) I'm awaiting another email or phone call to see if I proceed with their next steps. Does anyone know what the next step is? I too have applied on and off again with Comcast for a few years now and never heard a scratch from them so I'm kind of excited this time that I actually had a response and a test this time. I just don't want to get my hopes up. |

Atia in Utica, Michigan said: Usually you have to go through two interviews. I wonder if you are telling us the truth... I agree seems to me like when the truth is out about hiring and the process, maybe an employee comes on and explain in a big huge paragraph that they got hired in less than a week. That goes for most of the companies when applicants tell their story on how the business they applied for work. I beleive that they have to post job listings to show their Ratio of employment openings ever year for their statics, but in reality most hire within the job or no someone that works there to get their foot in the door. |

I have a recruiter who called me and sent me to a Comcast interview for inside sales/CSR. A couple of days before the interview I went online and applied for the position and took the assesment test. The assesment was comprised of a virtual call center scenario and a big long personality test; no math, no English, no hard skills. I went to the interview; a group interview in which they told us about Comcast and sold us the job. Then we interviewed individually for about 15 minutes. My recruiter emailed me late that afternoon and let me know they wanted to hire me. A week later she called me and said they changed their mind because of my assesment. I have sucessfully worked in call centers before and am fast on a computer so I can't imagine that failed that portion of the assesment. I have a BA degree from a university and have numberous tests and assesments for other jobs that were a lot harder then Comcast's. So apparently I have the wrong personaity, in spite of having a proven track record of success. Comcast has taken out the human element in the hiring process. They are letting a computer, a machine, have a voice over and above the humans. Nice work, Comcast. As a side note, I have worked with the same system they work with in the call center. Have you read 1984? Enough said. Yes, I'm irritated with their system but a little relieved that I don't have to work there. |

On December 17, A Comcast recruiter contacted me and asked me to do an assessment online, I then completed it right away. The next day i called her back, and she gave me an over the phone interview and said i did very well and set me up for an in person interview on Dec 20 @ 330pm. I got to my interview 30min early. Everything went well. A day after i contacted my recruiter and asked her what were the next steps, she said it could take a while due to the holidays and getting through all of the interviews, she did say i should get a call back for the job. She also mentioned that training starts on the second week of January 2013. I haven't heard anything yet. I call her and leave her voice mails but hasn't returned my calls....is it that shes been off due to the holidays or what? Can someone explain the next steps or what i should expect? I really need this job :/

I was in the same boat, went to an info session with a group of others and was told interviews would not be held that day as planned. The lady that gave the presentation assured all of us that we would have a chance to interview but the managers were overwhelmed with work and plus it was the holidays. I had gave up on getting a call back, but received an email the other day to come for an interview, so I would say give them a minute they are probably just getting caught up. |

I applied for a job at Comcast a while back and am worried about the criminal background check. I was arrested for a misdemeanor a few years ago but successfully completed a pretrial diversion program and the charges were dropped. In addition, the court sealed the arrest record which entitles me to honestly say I have never been arrested. The arrest record can only be unsealed via court order. Will Comcast dig that deep? I really need this job. Any advice will be extremely appreciated and thanks so much! |

So I have been applying as a com tech since I left the Army, roughly 3 years. The first interview I landed with Comcast was a group interview. At one point we were all asked "why should I hire you and not someone else." This seemed pretty unprofessional to me but whatever, I needed the job. I passed the interview (as did everyone else at the time) and took a psych/assessment test. After which I got the Dear John letter. Skip a few years of post 911 GI bill...I received an email inviting me to take a test for the company. I had nothing else to do so I took it and within 3 days got a call from a recruiter who set me up with a face to face interview. I went into the interview and was told that I did really well by the two supervisors I met with. They told me I would be hearing from them next week (this week now) with an offer or with news that I didn't get the position. Its almost been one week and I'm stressing out over the phone call. The hardest part for me to understand is how it took me three years of applying to get this far in the process. I worked as a communications specialist in the Army and have great customer service history. Oh well, I'll report back here as to what happens to me when I find out. |

So to update, it turns out the location I was interviewed at had a hiring freeze. The recruiter called me three days after I got the letter and set me up for an interview at a different location. I was interviewed with a few others and all went well. We then interviewed with another supervisor and were told we would be hearing the decision soon. The next day I was given a preliminary offer based on my background check and drug test. Two days after that I received the drug test information. I picked a location and took the drug test the next day as they were closed by the time I could go. I just finished my background check paper work and within 12 hours was asked for a copy of my diploma and some W-2s. I'll post back when something new happens. |
