I have a question for you guys/gals I had my phone interview today for the door to door sales position...And im not sure how the process goes, they didnt really give me an exact answer just that I would receive a phone call if I was selected for the next step 1on1 interview. The Phone interview was only 12-15mins long, not sure what to expect any help....Sorry you know how it is when you are eager to start a job but not sure if they were interested

I have a role play screening tomorrow. I have done the initial phone screen and assesstment. Any pointers on this process? Also they told me if I passed the role play there is one more stage and that is the person to person. What should I expect. Its been a pretty quick moving process but I am nervous about this role play thing.

How to get a job at Comcast:

1). Visit www.comcast.com/careers
2). Click on "Search for jobs" or "Login/Register" midway down on the right hand side of the screen
3). Establish an online candidate profile and login information.
4). Search for desired career(s) within desired location(s) and read the job description, qualifications, etc,.
5). If desired, click on "Apply" at the top left hand corner of the job description page.
6). When you establish an online profile, be sure to complete ALL sections of the profile and DO attach a cover letter and resume. Also, be sure to release your profile to recruiters once you have completed your candidate profile. This opens up opportunities for you.
7). Check on the status of your job(s) applications every so often by logging into your profile via the website above. If it says "In Process", you are still being considered for the positon for which you have applied. At this point, the waiting game begins. Comcast Atlanta was very methodical throughout the hiring process here. It should read "Not Hired" if you have not been chosen for further consideration.
8). If you have been considered, most likely you'll receive an e-mail or phone call inviting you to take an assessment test of your personality and some position-related function, such as math assessment for Communications Technicians. Then, if you pass (you should find out immediately, if you fail, you have to wait six months before re-applying)you will be invited to an interview. Background checks and drug screenings are conducted if they choose to move you forward in the hiring process. For me, it was this simple (probably b/c of me background), but from what I have heard it was a little more complex for many people on here. (continued below)

I applied online 06.06.2010. On 06.10.2010 I received the call inviting me to take the assessments required for Communications Technicians. I passed that test on 06.15.2010. I had an interview two days later on 06.17.2010 and was recommended for hire by the two managers that interviewed me. A background check was conducted on me right after the interview. I was called on 07.09.2010 to be informed that I had been selected for employment (conditional offer) pending a negative drug screening. I took the drug test on 07.12.2010 and two days later on 07.14.2010 I received a call formally and officially offering me the position of Communications Technician, starting hourly rate of 12.25. I was scheduled for orientation and training. I start Monday 07/19/2010 and training the next day as a Communications Technician. Once I attend orientation, I will come back and update you all on pay, benefits, career advancement, nature of the work/business, company culture, etc,.

Comcast n00b in Sarasota, Florida said: I was just hired by Comcast today.

I sent them my resume via the Comcast website and also through a web site that posts jobs (similar to Monster). I was called the day after I had submitted my resume to the non-Comcast website.

I scheduled an appointment to take their tests for the following week.

I took a psychological test, then they gave me the technician test instead of the CSR test by mistake, (which I passed by the way LOL, and inevitibly the CSR test.

After testing, the same day I was taken to the CSR Managers office to interview. They had me sign a release for a background check and sent me off to a drug test.

It took them 3 days from when I interviewed to call me back with a job offer. (Which I feel is rather QUICK.)

They did check all of my references, this is a very thorough company which says to me there won't be much riff raff in the work environment.

I am very excited to begin employment with this company.

Good luck to all of you.

Do comcast drug test for IT Tech position?

Sarasota Comcast is conducting a training class right now for the call center and there will be another one right behind this. Go to www.comcast.com hover over ABOUT click on CARRERS and then when that page loads on the right hand side you will see "COMCAST OPPURTUNITIES" and will be able to search for the local positions. The call center job isn't on there right now but should be on within a few weeks when this currrent training class is winding down. Currently there are 2 postings for Direct Sales Reps (field sales) and a Multi Dwelling Unit Inside Sales Specialist. Come on and apply the benefits are great! :)

If you are near Fort Myers, FL they currently have the Call Center position posted (Customer Account Executive) allong with a Traffic Specialist, Business Account Executive and MDU Inside Sales. :)

Hi,
I have an impressive track record with over 10 years in sales and 3 years of sales management. Are you still recruiting for Comcast? I'm looking for a sales position. If so, respond, perhaps to fslu@mail.com and I will send you over my resume. Thanks!

Comcast sucks
They hired me, after 10 years of applying now and then.
Invited me in for and interview with 2 guys, then into a 2nd interview with some corporate douche.
He hired me, sent me to take the urine test, which I passed.
They followed with some calls about former employers, all of who I spoke with about the matter, and told me they said many good things.
Then...I get an email saying I am awaiting approval from corporate before I start training/orientation.
I am on the verge of filing a discrimination claim with the eeoc.

Hey Nerd-a-Holic. I was wondering what type of test Comcast uses: Urine or hair. I have been clean for a month and a half, but the hair deal has me a bit worried. If you could let me know I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Not true I just got hired at Comcast and i'm absolutely not a good ole boy. It didn't take them that long to call me for and interview either. But it takes a while. They wait for a background check and you have to do a drug test. Really its just experience. FYI I'm only 20 so age isn't a factor either

I apply over the website, then received an email with a test of more that 125 questions, difference sometimes and other times same questions in difference orders. Then I received a call from a Comcast Recruiter who made me an phone interview, then she call me back the same day to schedule an interview with a supervisor. I take it and since that, never heard anything of Comcast, has been 2 weeks since that.

What's the time that I'm suppose to wait until the next step ??

Thank You

When interviewing for any company your attitude makes a huge difference. Comcast is in fact hiring like crazy right now for a braod spectrum of positions. You cannot apply online at my website, but if you have questions send and email to and put in the subject, looking for a Comcast position. My staff will pick up the email and see if they can assist you.
Good luck.

Comcast called me this morning after I filled out an application last night. I had no idea they were going to interview me right then and there! They asked me a few questions and I messed up on a few. I can't believe that I couldn't explain to them where to find a web address. I just wasn't expecting it. The interviewer told me she will forward my questions to HR department. Does this mean I messed up???

I found an opening for Comm Tech 1 on careerbuilder.com. Applied through Comcast website 5/14/2012 and had an email the next day to take an assessment test. I took the test online yesterday (5/15/2012.) I'm awaiting another email or phone call to see if I proceed with their next steps. Does anyone know what the next step is? I too have applied on and off again with Comcast for a few years now and never heard a scratch from them so I'm kind of excited this time that I actually had a response and a test this time. I just don't want to get my hopes up.
