My husband worked for CSC about 8 years ago and he traveled 90% of the time...Now, long story short: He was given a company credit card to pay for food, hotel rooms, etc. and so on. He would travel and the company was supposed to pay the vouchers when he turned them into them. Well, they wouldn't and the bill would grow and sometimes, we would have to foot the bill ourselves waiting for reimbursement. Finally, he got told to either pay the bill owed or he would lose his job! So, he lost his job because of not paying the credit card bill that was charges for traveling and per diem! Some employees would go to drastic measures to make sure that they paid the bill because of scare tactics such as being fired, etc. One guy took a loan out against his truck so that he could pay the bill off! The card was a Diner's Club and still, from time to time, we get calls about it. Several local attorneys have told us NOT to pay one dime of these charges because we did NOT put the charges on the card for our own benefit. These were ALL company charges! We chalk it up to poor management too. Just please beware of how they treat their employees in regards to credit cards...Totally wrong!!!

Wow. Bad management indeed!

The opposite is also true. I once worked in a traveling job and used my personal credit card for the expenses (very large corporation and more than 30 years ago). I had what was then called a "Travel Letter". I would charge on my card, then when back at the office, I would fill out the travel expense report and immediately write my own check through the Travel Letter procedure and take it to the bank.

After about five years of this, I had the best credit rating you could imagine because I spent (as far as AMEX was concerned) thousands of dollars every month and ALWAYS paid it off before the end of the billing cycle. NONE of it was my money. AMEX loved me. :)

The exact same thing happened to me when I was traveling in Milwaukee, WI for a transition in the Ascension branch of CSC. I'm out of a job and bill collectors call me every day, I wish you and your husband the best.

Bankruptcy has become my only option due to the large debt owed from hotel / car rental and the fees that diners club has added to the balance due to CSC lack of action.

BEWARE THIS COMPANY! They are highly mismanaged and willingly leave their employees out to handle company debt. Among other issues that I have seen which are wrong with the company.

Good luck job hunters, watch out for CSC though.

We were told by a Bankruptcy attorney not to pay one cent of the credit card...My hubby had lost his job and we had to go to an atty. to save our house and she "forgot" to turn in paperwork and we lost our house...But, the atty. looked over ALL of our files including Diner's Club which was through CSC and strictly for travel by my hubby...The atty. said that we did not owe one dime of it and NOT to pay it!...He said that if they call, refer them to CSC.

You should NOT have to contact a bankruptcy atty....Don't let anyone threaten you about it!...It is NOT yours to pay!!

I wish you the best of luck...I would seek free legal advice before doing anything...Best of luck to you too!

Apparently, this is a reoccurring practice of CSC....Shame on them!!!

I am glad that I checked this....Wishing you all of the best!!!
