The position of immigration paralegal has been posted for the last six months. I had an interview with them a few months ago, it took them four months to send me a letter with their decision on my application. They are very slow in all aspects. Very poor knowledge in the field of their expertize and very unprofessional attitude. It's embarassing to have a similar attitude for such a reputable company. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!

I interviewed for the computer operator position about a month ago. The guy told me that he had interviewed enough people and that he would make up his mind in about a week. I have left voice mail messages letting him know that I am very interested in the position, but he has not contacted me. He has also renewed the computer operator ad on more than one web site. Why can't he send me a rejection letter or email since I actually interviewed for the position? Is that too much to ask?

In a word... YES. That is too much to ask in a lot of cases. These days companies may get hundreds or even thousands of applicants for a job posting. They may even get a dozen interviewees.

Consider even in this specific forum thread, if 10 people replied here regarding what you wrote, would you have the time or even wish to put forth the effort to respond to each one?

All you can do these days is keep answering the job ads and ignore any company that does not respond. Anyone who is hiring is aware of this fact, so you are not going to get a call from someone who says, "You sound like a good candidate, when can you come for an interview or to start?" Instead, you will get a call from someone who says, "We are calling about your application for the job of (whatever) last (week, or month, etc) for the XYZ Company and want to know if you are still available/interested?" You don't even have to keep track of where you applied. If you have actually interviewed, you would usually be hired on the spot or set up for additional interviews, etc.

If you interviewed and were sent away (no matter what they said) you didn't get the job - in most cases.
