If you want to save yourself a lot of grief, don't work for Countrywide. Even if the job market is difficult. Believe me, you will be better off!

Hey Danny, I agree! This company is making a killing off their employee's. If I had no other alternatives, I would rather work at a fast food place. AT least there you will get a little respect and a discounted or free lunch.........................

I agree CW has done 3 layoffs since November 06--I was in the last bunch and worked hard for them and when numbers are up your great-they gave no layoff notices you just walked in and got your papers-for years people worked without getting overtime. They haven't even called anyone back from the 1st layoff.they lie to employees and age descriminate.

Countrywide is a really bad place to work. Here in Tampa they can't keep enough people and have new classes every week positions as Loan Purchasers and Collateral Analyst. You see the ads for these positions on Monster and Careerbuilder.

These jobs are monotonous, robotic, management is terrible, and turnover is through the roof. Countrywide can't keep up with its ridicous billion dollar quotas because people quit or get terminated.

If you really need a job take the one week class and split.

Hey, get this... I had an interview with the Area Wholesale manager and at the last minute, he cancelled. Told me that he would call that afternoon to reschedule. That was 2 weeks ago. I've tried calling him back to set another interview, but guess what? Still no response. Countrywide can kiss my

this company is the worst! managers, VPs & SVPs get together privately to see which of the hard workers they can pick on. HR works for the managers not for the company. RUN ! they will make you life heck

This is true, they ran me into the ground, used me, then kicked me out the door. Don't work for this company at any costs!

Countrywide is an extremely disorganized and chaotic company in both their hiring practices and treatment of employees to the way they do business.

Case and point- Countrywide is a lousy company!
