Personal Loan Consultant Posistion

Can canyone give me some details about this posistion. I know its selling mortgages, but is anyone making any money. The base salary is low, so the only way to make money is through commision. That kinda sounds scarry right now. Could someone tell me what a typically workday consist of? Is this a good posistion in the company to start in? I have a 2nd interview comming up soon. Thanks!

I worked for Countrywide for almost a year as an AE. Day to day you are on the phone calling leads about 2-4 hrs a day and the other half babysitting your files and the commission is not all that great which is why I moved to a broker. This is a tough market right now as far as mortgages are concerned plus they laid off 1200 people like a month ago so job security is pretty much not there. But its your call

They say average is 60K a year. Is that obtainable or just to get me in the door?

Stay away. It is a sweat shop. Nobody is making any money there anymore, the phones don't ring. You don't have to look to far to find terrible press on the company. And this isn't tabliod fodder, it is in the Wall St Journal, LA Times, NY Times.........
You will have rotating shifts from 7 to 4 one week to 12 to 9 making it impossible to have any kind of a life. If you have to get up from your desk to go to the restroom or anything you have to enter a log out code on your phone. Only do it if you are desperate and need the benifits but keep looking.
