For any company or source that you would like to exclude you can use the "hide" feature. Just click on "hide at the end on the job description and those posts will be removed from your future searches. You must be logged in to use this feature and it will be stored in your preferences if you want to edit them in the future. You can also exclude staffing agencies through the advanced search feature.
Thanks!

All Cyber Coder postings in Sacramento have been on the job boards for several months. If you search in other cities the same positions are posted for the other cities as well. I found this was a big waste of my time.

I agree. Cybercoders seems to post/re-hash old job listings over and over again. It makes it difficult on jobsites to have to weed through all of their re-posted trash to get to the real opportunities.

Legal Zombie in Gainesville, Georgia

Cybercoders called me a couple of years ago, a couple of times actually regarding a "legal" position. I don't recall, but I don't believe that I submitted my resume for a position (I could be mistaken and could have responded to a job posting). The "girl" (she sounded young) had no clue about the position and she asked silly questions about my experience. I could tell by her responses to what I was telling her, she had no idea what I was talking about. I asked what the salary range was and it was exactly half of my salary at the time, I told her "no thanks".

A couple of months later, they call me back about the SAME position. Same scenario as above. Again, I told them "no Thanks".

I know nothing else about the company, but based on my own experience, I do not hold them in high regard.

When a US employer has a foreign person working in their office who is applying for a green card, that employer must run ads for the same position that person has to prove to the government that their current employee is better-qualified than any other US citizen. I have a friend from the UK who has worked for a US company for a long time and, to thank him, they're helping him through the green card process. Right now they and their lawyer are posting ads hiring his position and everyone who calls, no matter how qualified, is told some bologna about how the job is no longer available or they're not qualified. It's kind of stupid but it's the kind of stupidity that the US government demands. I don't know what's going on with this recruiter but I'm seeing a lot of these situations on this site and maybe this is the situation.

Yeah, this is one of the great mysteries about recruiting firms. It appears that, at some level, recruiters at these companies are evaluated by the number of resumes they collect and not by the number of positions they fill. What they do with these files is anybody's guess.

Hello Everyone!

I can assure you that all of CyberCoders postings represent legitimate positions with our clients. We have successfully placed thousands of happy candidates over our 8 years in business and continue to do so each day.

Unfortunately due to the large number of applicants we receive on a daily basis it is difficult for our recruiters to personally follow-up on each job application.

If you have difficulty reaching a recruiter or are unsatisfied with the service you receive from CyberCoders please email abuse@cybercoders.com. These messages are immediately escaclated to our CTO! :)

Happy job hunting!

I also responded to a position located on the CyberCoder site in which I am very qualified and NO RESPONSE. I followed up with several e-mails to a <Edited by Host: Name Removed> and still NO RESPONSE. No matter how many responses these recruiters receive (which are called leads) about a job posting, it doesn't take but a few seconds to click on the reply button of e-mail and say thanks for the response but... Very unprofessional but seems to be typical of this industry. It is filled with incompetence and people who do not ethically know how to work for a living. I'll send an e-mail to abuse@cybercoders.com and I'm sure of the result it will bring.

Thanks for your comments, I was curious as I just got an email from Cybercoders linked to an email coded for an account on Simply Hired which I shut down about 6 months ago. Although the recruiter claimed to have read my resume the experience level was far below mine, as was the salary - especially since it would involve relocation to a much more expensive metro area. The salary had a 40K wide range, which seemed rather unusual as well. Just didn't seem legit, which these comments seem it indicate it might not be.

Cybercoders - I have submitted myself many times and I am a solid local senior manager. The one single time I spoke to someone they appeared very disinterested in filling the spots and more interested in seeing how low of a salary I would be willing to take. Since the highest salary was far below what I could accept I quickly tried to terminate the conversation and they wanted to continue speaking about the position. Phone skills were very low, and they had no industry knowledge. They have no knowledge of location of the position and where you live either. I live in Central / Northern part of NJ and have no knowledge of NJ at all; they don't even know the location of Newark Airport. I have recently added this company to my block on my email. Double submittal is a HUGE issue with companies like this. You NEVER know what is happening. The huge lure is they appear to be rocking and rolling in business. The fact that they NEVER speak to anyone is a huge indicator that this is all fluff. If they are selling resumes to companies trying to get on there vendor list, while you are being duplicated on your submittal without your knowledge. The vendor will say this is just a sample but many companies will remove you from consideration claiming you can not manage your submittal to the company, so they can not trust you to manage resources within the company. Since I have stopped dealing with many poor recruiters, I am finding that I am getting more interviews and interest. Good luck to all and happy hunting.

I'm sorry to hear you did not have the best experience in you job search.

I can assure you that all of our recruiters are here working the thounsands of actual job positions we are trying to fill. Unfortunately, due to the huge amount of applicants we receive we are not always able to respond with a personal phone call. If you feel you are a great fit for a position we encourage you to email the recruiter directly.

Also, we keep all personal data completely confidential and never release it to 3rd parties.

Please contact me if you have any further questions or concerns at matt@cybercoders.com.

I too applied for a job and was not contacted. The job had been posted twice more since then. I found this forum and contacted abuse@cybercoders.com, and the response from the recruiter was within the hour.

I do not think this is a scam at all--rather, the job market is just that saturated right now. With plenty of long-term employees having been laid off or fired in my industry, there are a lot more applicants than jobs.

It also doesn't help matters that a lot of recruiters are using software programs to hunt for keyword matches, or using Likert scales to assess a good fit. I'm sure if any of the people here were able to talk to an actual person their chances would be better, but instead there are automated systems making decisions before a person ever sees your resume.

Of course, that's no excuse for callousness or rudeness on the part of any of these recruiters, job hunting is stressful enough. I am lucky that this was not the case for me; once I explained that I was not accusing him of scamming me, I was trying to find out if he was, we were able to have a productive conversation.

Good luck, all.

I can only assume they are collecting resumes for jobs that do not exist...but why? How can they make any money doing this?
Maybe they collect resumes, present them to prospective employers, and hope the employer will want to interview the applicant?

Yes, they probably collect fees from recruiters.I was called by recruiters who popped out from 'nowhere', when I applied for a Cybercoders job!

I submitted my info last night. I THINK that the Cybercoders system is VERY automated. It took a lot of my info, incorrectly, and pre-populated the account. Now, I am NOT looking to relocate and what do I get today. A recruiter from CA looking for a COO position. I'm in Purchasing/Logistics/Supply Chain. Not a great fit. And I don't want to move to CA.
I may remove my account with them, but I want to see what happens first.
Good Luck to all.

I have started to look out for jobs recently, but didnt send my resume even once to Cyber coders, who post absolutely bogus job positions. I dealt with them 2 years back, no response for my resume, no one got back. I applied for 3 or 4 of their lucrative offers, nope, no response. Unline many other agencies, Cyber coders more often than not furnish lucrative salaries as well. Best word that fits them is 'Cheap Agency'.

Dear Hassle free,

We apologize for not providing you with an exceptional experience the last time you applied for one of our jobs. We hope to get the opportunity to work with you in the future.

Due to the large volume of clients we represent and the ensuing applicant pool, we are unable to communicate personally with each of our applicants. This is unfortunate. However, I can assure you that we are representing all of the jobs that we post and that we do everything possible to provide personal attention to each job seeker who applies to our jobs.

If you ever feel your resume has been wrongly bypassed, I encourage you to email the recruiter in that job posting directly. Should you have any more questions or if I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me at shea@cybercoders.com.

Thank you,

Hi Jazmine,

The economy is picking up and we have a lot of new jobs open on our website.

You originally registered with CyberCoders way back on 8/22/2006.

We noticed your resume is now over 6 months old and we have some jobs we think you may be interested in hearing more about!

Please update your resume here!

We have thousands of positions open right now. To search them look here.

Thank you,

Yes, that is "way back." Guess what? This is the FIRST email I have ever received in response to any of my submitted resumes.

I sent my resume to CC a couple of weeks ago and actually got a phone call from this guy Craig Radke. I'm not sure why he called. He sounded like somebody who just woke up 5 mins ago and didn't really know what was going on. He didn't ask me any meaningful questions but said he was going to email me some "additional materials" about the position so I could determine if I was a good match. He never sent anything. Today he posted the same position again (actually 2 identical positions - different titles and locations but same description). He also sent me an email which indicates to me that this so-called recruiter has no idea we've already talked. I'm not sure what these guys are up to but it's definitely not beneficial for people who respond to their ads. It's better to ignore them.

I doubt the crediblity of CC -- They have reqs all over the JobBoards, ask you to fill out a very detailed online form (Which is a waste of time) and no response. This seems in my opinion to be a bogus org where they collect your data. Seems to be a phony agency. I was also looking at the responses to some of the members from the Cybercoder team -- all the repsonses looked the same as if it was tailor made... Anyways from my perspective i will never deal with this CC.
