Good idea starting this LAX - so would it be safe to say you are coming in from LA?

I am enrolled in the may 13th class. Does anyone know what kind of schedule we will have for memorial day week-end, or if there is a class after that one. Who can I call?

I was told this was the last class (at least for a while) but they said that to the May 6th class too - and yet here we are.. so who knows for sure. I am sure as the more senior FAs take voluntary retirement they will continue to schedule classes - but it might be a while.

You can call the People Scout rep that scheduled your initial training date - they can reschedule you (if they have a date yet)

As far as the schedule it is about 10hrs per day - 6 days per week, with Sunday off.. I don't know what day Memorial Day is (I'm a foreigner) but I'm guessing if it happens in the 6 weeks following May 13th..it might be hard for you to plan anything for it - unless its in Atlanta and on a Sunday :)

Hey all... just had my F2F today. Had a great time and met so many nice people. Our entire group was great and didn't envy those who had to make the list of CJO's. I would be honoured to fly with anyone in our 0730 group today.
Now, just waiting for the backgrounds to come back and the language tests.
I've been beeming all day and just got back to FNT from ATL. All the way home all I could think about was watching the FA and knowing that will be me soon.
So congrats to us all and see you in May!

May I ask when you had your phone interviews?

I started this process back in Feb. I took my phone interviews and filled out the online apps and got a call back within days. I had to postpone my f2f due to surgery.

How many people TOTAL in the 7:30 group???
How many were given conditional job offer???

Ok...does anyone have an idea how many of us so far in the MAy 13 class...I have a friend who had f2f interview and was also given conditional job offer and has not been called for training class date...so I am hoping this May 13 class to be filled up and he will have a chanse as they hopefuly add May 20 class...

Please all keep him in your thoughts...he has been through a very diffecult times recently and he truly needs this to come his way to left up his spirit.

business attire not business casual; does anyone know the limitations and/or requirements for proper attire?

In the packet they send u a week before training they specify what they mean by business attire. But If u need more time than that to prepare..let me know..i'll email u the guidelines

To answer this question - I can confirm that you will indeed get paid for approx 60 hours per week yes. I also heard that you will get paid around a week or so in - so not too bad..

I've been rehearsing my Swedish and Danish airliner terms. I've never had to use them before ;-)
Now... if Delta would just add an Oslo flight I could test in Norwegian (my main language).
I'm just nervous as all get out that if I mess up my Lang tests, I'll be scrapped from the program.

I'm a little worried with the gas prices so high. I'm 47miles away from the training building and I don't know if they'll give me a room since they said you have to be 50miles away. I'm praying that they take gas prices being so high into consideration and hopefully cut me a break. Is anyone else in the same boat?

Just took my Swedish phone interview. WOW!!! Most went fine but did have to ask the questioner to repeat three questions. I was so nervous that I dropped the phone...lol I haven't had to take a test in over 25 years so this was like a bad case of post traumatic stress. ;-) Now for the hard test... Danish at 1300 yikes!!! (Pray and think of me double as much for this one.)

If my memory is correct, there was about 30-35 people. Out of those, I think about 12-14 got the CJOs. Again, I wouldn't have wanted to have to choose as there were many fine applicants that morning. I take my hat off to the Leads, HR staff and other FAs. I hope that those not selected will keep pushing forward and re-apply.

I wouldn't get too worried about classes ending for long. Your friend should contact the recruiters again and let them know he is willing to accept any training date and to please keep him updated. With the Senior FAs being offered buy-outs, I'm sure DAL will need more FAs. My thoughts and prayers are with him as well. I can understand how being offered a CJO can lift someone up in spirits.

Now, if I didn't totally bomb my Swedish test and my Danish test goes smoothly (time to get the warm potato for my throat... only Nordic speakers will understand that joke <grin>), I look forward to seeing you all on the 13th.

NOTE: to DAL Upper Management... How about a HNL to BGO run 1stop PDX, and of course based in HNL...please!!!<grin>

They called me about a week and a half ago, but I just realized yesterday that I could look for a roll call for the May 13th class on this site :))) I have made my flashcards for the airport codes, but I haven't really started studying them yet. I still have today and tomorrow left and my previous job, so I'm still a little busy with that. But I just checked my email again and no Delta emails yet... I am thinking of calling them just to check on it... Maybe if I don't get them by lunchtime today I will. OH WOW I SOOOOOO CANNOT WAIT TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM SOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!! :))))))))))))
