Several of us are RNs in our 50 and 60s and unable to find teaching jobs in nursing schools, even though there are ads everywhere. What are we doing wrong or is this just plain age discrimination? We're physically and mentally very fit and want to work in our professions.

It's possible age is an issue, though I certainly hope not!

What has been your experience in interviews thus far? Are you getting second interviews?

How long have you been looking?

YES! It is an age issue. Age discrimination in this country is all too common. The government agencies are totally ignoring the age discrimination issue. Once you are over 50 in this country, no matter what the profession, you are considered dead.
Monster has a Age Issues forum you might want to visit. I found it worthless but you might find it helpful.
