It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at Dolby? Any advice on striking the right note? |

TheFacts in Boston... Im the Director of Staffing here at Dolby and would be very interested in hearing more context regarding your negative experience. Is it just your general opinion or was it an actual interview experience? While we recognize that every experience isn't perfect, we would like to learn from any mis-steps that may have occurred. Thanks, Craig |

Craig, I had one of your Manager from San Fran office scheduling me a tel interview - his i/v question was asking me to give him the patent details - he tried to persuade me stating that he wanted to file additional patents surrounding the one the company I used to work for filed! Your recruiters know this well and they work with your hiring managers (including VPs - who does it too). A friend of mine was scheduled an i/v from the same office - the recruiter even had an assignment for him for the i/v with the VP. Study and give opinion on the 4-5 patents of another company they are buying or just bought! When that assignment/interview is over, that was the end of the interview! Your managers are just sitting there sucking everyone elses - not sure what they have to do to get such jobs - problem is in their managers who appoint them to these roles. Something terribly wrong with your lab. Maybe another "Toyota" is brewing (24 deaths by delaying the recall, apparently made possible by employing 2 NHSTA employees!). My friend was NOT interviewed for a job that has anything to do with patents (but he had deep technical bg). No single question was asked at him related to the specific job he applied for. BTW, re Toyota, its more like 34 deaths, not 24. |
