I'm a little perplexed about seeing the same ad's week after week.
I wish someone would take down the one their not hiring for.
Would to work for this company, I have been applying over a year now.

I applied to D.G. for a management position. I have extensive experience in retail and can absolutely do the job. I also went to the store, and was told by acting S.M. all apps are done on line. How do you get an interview? What all do the background checks look at? Do they look at credit report? I don't have the best.

It might be because of the questioniare. If you score badly on it the application does not go through to the store (s) you applied to

WoW such poor grammar for a Manager... Get it together before you start posting to the internet!!!! lol

jessica eve in Coldspring, Texas said: I dont know if you can but you need to get rid of the information that you posted on the net... Leaving your E-mail is exceptable to a point. NEVER LEAVE YOU PHONE NUMBERS THEY CAN BE TRACED TO YOUR ADDRESS..
if you really want a job I would suggest you go to the place of business and fill one out. If someone calls me and ask me if I am hiring I tell them NO even if I am because if there to lazy to walk to my store and to lazy to get off the computer I dont respond..................

Manager.

Hi, my name is Jackson Goldsberry. I was interviewed on Wednesday for a key position at Dollar General and I'm now awaiting for my background check to come back. I have 3 cases of possession of a controlled substance (all state jail felonies). I was wondering if Dollar General will still hire me if my felonies are not relevant to the job or it's position.

I am going for an interview today and I am so excited. I am overqualified, a hard worker, good with people, and the best thing is I am exactly 1.4 miles from the store that I am applying for the store manager's position. I have my portfolio, and letters of recommendation with me. I have no felonies, one misdemeanor fifteen years ago, since then I have worked with one of my professors from one of the colleges that I attended and we have built multi million dollar businesses. I was fortunate to have that opportunity, so I took a year off to remodel my house myself, which was a mistake. I soon found out I was not a construction worker, just a great manager and foreman, so I subbed out most of the work. I will be interviewed by another store manager about twenty miles away, and have taken the online assessment, plus I have applied for the new store, and another store where they have no Store Manager. Does anyone have any advice as to how to dress, and present myself to acquire the store that is next to my house. Should I overdress, casual dress, or what?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
JDS
