Every business has its own style. What is the office environment and culture like at DynCorp International Inc? Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers? What is a typical day in the life of an employee at DynCorp International Inc? |

It has truly gone into the dumper and it has the worst HR Dept in the industry! They do not take care of their most valuable asset....the employees! The company didn't even spring for a Christmas party, this past year. Also, it is my understanding no one is getting bonuses, this year. Bet Herb Lanese gets his Million Dollar bonus and all his buddies in Virginia get their bonuses! Bet the President, located in Fort Worth, gets his bonus, as well. Furthermore, management demands their people travel in the back of crowded airplanes during international travel, while Herb Lanese and other upper management people (VP & above only) fly business and first class. Herb Lanese has also been known to fly in private airplanes - the ole "do as I say do; but not as I do" management style. The President of the office in Fort Worth also will not approve business class for his employees; that is, unless they are flying internationally with him. Then, business class is okay, especially since he only flies business and first class. Frankly, the way DynCorp International treats their employees is appalling. The company gives nothing back to the individuals. There used to be an annual Christmas Party, a Spring picnic/get-together, options for baseball tickets, etc. - the little things that mean so much to the morale of the DynCorp workforce . Now, there is nothing! Also, opportunities to advance within the company are practically "nil." The company has a history of hiring outside people to fill positions vs. promoting within. Amazingly, although benefits and opportunities continue to vanish for employees, DynCorp have plenty of money to hire numerous Vice Presidents! This is only a small example of what goes on! Don't recommend anyone consider employment with this company. There are better options. What extent to HR go though for a bacground check |

I just finished the paperwork portion of the new hire process and it is about the same as any other government job they run a background and credit check fill out a basic application with job history references qualifications ETC. As well as a basic information worksheet listing personal information such as Address Medical history Next of Kin, Dependants and various other information to use in the event of an emergency so they can contact the appropritate people. As far as the processing I am not sure as to what that entails yet I imagine there will be some briefings and training probably a medical screening Blood test blood pressure chest Xray and imunivations just like KBR if any of you have worked for them in the past I can't imagine it being all that much different just hopefully a little better organized. I will post more once I know more. |

Just google Dyncorp employee complaints, there is a reason why there are not too many out there, they make ppl sign contracts to not expose them with the truth as to why nobody in their right mind would.
good luck. |
