Why am I not surprised. This is normal way of doing business in every countrym uincluding the US The good old boy networking at its best.

So, did anyone answer to VA closing? When I was at WOO I was told they are closing them down and this was 3 years agom things are moving at the normal EDS/HP speed for that one.

Wonder if XEROX is hiring

I remember that at the EDS in Chesapeake,VA when we had technical problems with our computers, the supervisors usually told us to wait till our 15 minute breaktime to call Tech Support. I am surprised that we were not told to wait till lunch to be allowed to call tech support.

I thought that they fired their HP CEO Mark Hurd for some financial errors that he made in managing or mismanaging the company.

I heard that they quit their program with Prudential.I guess that EDS made no money from that deal.

I am interested in knowing if anyone has received feedback from the VOW survey. They weren't favorable at my location and they will be holding meetings to discuss. I will share this info and solicit your comments.

VOW survey? I've never heard of that survey, what exactly does "VOW" stand for? I've tried not to think much about EDS as of late, although I was informed last week that some of the few, remaining Analyst people in Woodcrest are slated to have their jobs sent to India by April 1st. Of course, the company says they will try to help them find jobs with other Clients within the country, so that they will continue to train the Indian people and not revolt. Yeah, I've heard that before. Business, as usual.

it stands for "voice of the workforce". This is an HP survey that is used to assess managers and supervisors. You fill it out on line and it is suppose to be anonymous, and can add comments at the end. I think there was nearly 100% participation with a low rating in the 35 pecentile. The are having meetings to address the rating and want our input as to what they can do to change our opinion.

I worked for EDS for more than five years and was fully vested when I left in Aug 1990. Now I'm nearing age 65 and I find that the vesting requirement has changed to ten years. Anybody have an idea when that change took effect? I calculated my benefit in late 2009 and all seemed OK then. Go figure...

Have I found a lot of information by going to LinkedIn Groups "EDS Alumni". Also, you can go netbenefits.fidelity.com EDS/HP switched to fidelity, they are very nice and can give you information on your pension.

Fidelity's website simply tells me my pension information is not available, gives me a number to call, and I hear about the 10-year vesting rule. I'll look at LinkedIn. Tnx...
