The benefits are abysmal - EXTREMELY high deductible plan that most working class people can't afford. No bonuses (maybe in sales?). "Good ole boy club management" Only perk is that after 3 months you get basic DISH network service for free - a $32.00 value. Run away from this company. I wasted over 9 years there. |

Gilbert is right. Also Corporate jobs such as Marketing and Sales pays close to nothing. For example a Marketing Manager job pays approximately $45,000 - $50,000, way below the industry standard. |

Host said: What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at EchoStar (DISH Network)? I am an Executive Recruiter that has been placing Accounting Professionals in Colorado and the USA Nationwide and can tell you that Echostar is a company that is cash liquid, but the environment and culture is like a BIG 4, Mentality where you are overworked and underpaid. The benefits in terms of Medical just changed this past year. From what I understand, I do believe that the employee has to contribute 50% more to the Medical Plan then they used to, or something like this. Meaning, the benefits are worse then they used to be. The attrition is over 100%. They have a New CFO that was just hired. They brought him in from Northwest Airlines. I can tell you that you are worked like a BIG 4, Public Accounting Firm and the culture is very unhealthy in terms of clicks and people talking about leaving all the time. In Colorado Echostar is the Best Recruiting Source in Colorado to recruit from. It starts with the CEO who is great at making money, but takes advantage of his employees to do this. Someone should tell him that the high attrition will cost him $33,000 every time an employee leaves the company. No loyality from Company to Employee and Vice Versa. |

Not sure what discipline or field of work you are in? Echostar has the Highest Attrition Rate of any company in Colorado. The company makes money, but the company also takes advantage of employees. If you want to get into a Solid Telecom Company that takes care of you. I can give you several. The CEO of Echostar should read a Chapter on how Liberty Media retains all of there people. If you like Telecom, Call me at Woodmoor Group in Monument and I will share the Telecom Companies that will treat you better. There is a reason why they have lots of job openings. |

Every bad thing said about the company is 100% true sadly. Any employee who has left Dish to find another job in the area has been told by the hiring manager at the next company that he sees alot of people coming from Dish. There is a reason why. |
