It is also a good idea to do as much research on the company as possible. Few candidates do this and it makes you really stand out in the interview. Don't forget to write a thank you note to your interviewer. Even fewer people do this. Ask for the job. Hardly anyone actually does this! If you are told the standard line of," we have a lot of Candidates etc... we can't offer you the job now etc." don't feel discouraged. These are true things they are telling you ! They actually do have H.R. policies and procedures they must adhere to. They really do have more candidates to interview. What they really want to know at that moment is that you won't give up that easily.Get a commitment of some sort. A date for a callback, a phone number where you can follow up, etc.
