Ecolab Interview Questions.

It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at Ecolab?

Any advice on striking the right note?

I went through a screen with HR. She knew a surprising amount about the facility for an HR person.

I'm used to an interview starting with questions, but she gave me a thumbnail sketch of the company to start, gave me the names of the higher-ups in the chain I'd be part of, and so forth.

First question is "current situation"/"why are you looking." Until 9/11/01, apparently Ecolab wouldn't even let recruiters send them unemployed folks. She then asked about some of the specific skills the position required and how I'd demonstrated success with them. Then she asked me to describe a complicated problem I'd resolved at work recently, and we finished by going over my resume.
